Ont Eco Energy coming on Sat. - tried to cancel, can't get answer from phone # - will have note in door to go away

Ontario eco energy said they wanted to check our furnace for government rebate  The Ontario govt rebate was canceled in 2012

Tried to call to cancel.  All I got was music.
Going to leave a note also.

If the rebate was canceled what the hell are they calling for.
I would be afraid to let them in my home.

What happened after your note on the door.  I just tried to cancel my appt and got the same music that everyone has posted

I just made an appointment - i will see what this is all about and if they are true to their word but they were relentless.  3 times they called so I looked the number up here.  God help them if they aren't legit...i won't be amused if it is a waste of time.  
I will keep you posted.

Luke Kiel called and said he is from Eco Energy and asked if I had replaced my furnace and air conditioner for the past 12 years.  Then he asked if anyone will be home between 6 - 8 pm tomorrow.  He will send an energy advisor to my house to do a free energy assessment to see if I would be qualified for a Eco Energy rebate. I did a search tonight and tried calling the number he gave me  1-844-230-8642.  The phone is forwarded to music immediately with no one on the line.  No company name or anything.  Now know that this is a scam.  Please be aware and do not fall into the same trap as I did.
