I called the number back....They answered "Legal Department"......

They called me and said that there was a delinquent Payday Loan that I "took out" four years ago.  They listed the info I "used" to apply for the loan, and almost all of it was incorrect.  The only scary part was the fact that they had my ssn.

Claimed i had a loan that i never took. Had my info but could /would not give me or fax proof of my acceptance if the funds. I check my account for dates they claimed and saw no activity from them. Clearly a scam.

They called me today from the 844-236-6552 number at 4:51pm then they called my dad. I called the number back and they answered legal department. I said that I was called from this number. They asked me what my number was then read it out to me then they told me what my social security number was verbatim.

They proceeded to say that they were the legal department of a collection agency for payday loans and that I had taken one out in 2011 and the actual balance is now $800+ due to legal fees and interest. The loan went to a PNC Bank account I had. I let them know that I never took out the loan and I never received a loan in that amount, I repeated myself as the lady began getting rude.

I asked her if this was a scam because I googled the number and the many responses from people is the same as mine. Obviously she denied it being a scam and that they will prosecute to the full extent of the law. I told her not to call me again as I had been through this before a few years back and they did the same thing harassing me about a loan I didn't take out.

She said time is of the essence you have a good day I said you have a good day too.

Company stated that I was delinquent for a PayDay Loan and that they would take action against me.

If they call you again inform them that they are not to call you again. Any information must be mailed to you. Not faxed or emailed. Any real debt collection agency that plays by will do this. Those that don't will claim that it is to late for them to send you any information and demand you get a pr paid card from like WalMart and pay them over the phone.

How can they do this?! These idiots kept calling leaving a recording saying they have something in their office pending legal action. I called to find out what this was. Told me that I had a payday loan from 2007. Yeah right! I NEVER HAD A PAYDAY LOAN....EVER!! They told me the information they had, which was all wrong except my ssn which I flipped. These kind of things should be prosecuted, harassment, something. I told these people to send me the information within 10-12 days. That was 6 months ago. Get a life people, smh!

Yes, just called me.  Totally a scam.  Telling me I took out a payday loan in 2011.  I will report to the FTC immediately.

Scam. They called my daughter's cell phone asking about me.

I received a  call as well today but I wasn't home. Called back and they were closed

This is a scam they called my daughter looking for me too!  You can find way to much personal information on the internet now. Don't give them any info and tell them to send any legal papers to you in the mail.  I also had these calls a few years ago, they stopped until now it's started all over again. They also change the return call number daily, but on the caller ID it is the same number that doesn't answer if you try to call it back. Scammers!

I'm in a law suit settlement over the death of my little yorkie. Yesterday there was a voice mail on my phone from this number and said there is a claim in their office. I didn't call them back as didn't know if it was real or just a scam. Can someone please let me know if you truly believe this call is just a scam. As I c where others got calls from same number but was on pay day loans. Thank you

Same thing happened to me last night!  Stated I took a payday loan out in 2012!

They called my house regarding an issue they are taking care of regarding my sister and need to speak to her. Same crap everyone previously stated. Tell them to go to Hell!!!

I got a call today from 1-844-2366552 SAYING I took out  a loan back in march of in 2012 which I never did I ask fo a validation of the debt and she denied it o me, she said I had to pay750 dlls or I was going to get sued for 2k and over.

These guys are hitting it hard this month.
Got a call from these guys saying they were from Stark Recovery and that I had a debt in my name that I had not repaid (I don't). They said I had taken out a $400 loan back in 2011 (I didn't - and I pulled my credit report just to be sure, also checked my bank statements for a deposit of that amount), they said that I could settle over the phone for around $700 or I would be sued for $2000+. I asked for details of the loan and they evaded the questions.
Told them to "F**k off" and that they could go ahead and sue me if they wanted.
