- hounds| 4 repliesIdentified himself on message as "Mike Reynolds". Said they are making a second attempt to serve a summons today at place of employment or address on file. Did not return call. Left number as 844-239-6298.
- Caller: Company name not left on message
- Alfalfa replies to houndsAn actual Process Server is not going to have any conversation with you about any debt you owe, nor will they demand payment from you. If something like this happens, immediately call local law enforcement and make a full report including as much descriptive information as you can give them of the person impersonating a court officer.
http://www.bbb.org/blog/2012/03/beware-bogus-process-servers/ - MJG replies to houndsReal process servers do not call first. (There wasn't a first attempt either.)
- Brittany replies to Anon| 1 replyI did take out a pay day loan years ago that i did not repay and they did assist me with an arrangement. also they sent me documents once it was paid. THIS IS NOT A SCAM
- Annoyed replies to hounds| 1 replyI got a call from the same "Mike Reynolds". Said they would attempt to make a second summons at the home address on file (did not say what the address was). If the attempt failed, they would show up at work place where a supervisor would have to be present as a witness. Also said to lock up any animals that may pose a threat to the summoner (really?). I blocked the caller.
- Anon AmousCaller ID displayed "Toll Free Caller" at 5:18 PM. This # hasn't called here before, but from what I've read on this forum, it's a new number with a same old scam that has been calling my # for years now with threats or warrants for family member. The family member hasn't lived here for over 16 years. Seems one scammer will try their scam calls...and when they don't get anywhere, it seems they must sell my # to another scammer. These calls come in for a while, then they will cease for approx. six months and then start again. I no longer answer calls that show caller ID as Toll Free Caller, Wireless Caller, Unknown Caller, or private caller. Since I didn't answer I can't personally verify that this was such a call as others have described, but I am willing to bet it was.
- Caller: Scammer
- Jacob LiI got a voice message from this Mike Reynolds guy says the same [***] as all the comments I read above and I tried to call back but nobody picked it up and they haven't call me second time, I blocked the #
- Vicki GThis same Mike Reynolds called and left a detailed message about someone at this address, (which the name or address was never specified), would be served sometime today between 12pm and 5pm. If this summons could not be served at this residence, it would be served at the place of employment. Funny, I am disabled and haven't worked in over 3 years, haven't been in any kind of trouble, no traffic violations or accidents since I do not drive. My husband is self employed, and the same goes for him as far as no trouble. This is an ill fated attempt to try to gain info on someone who owes a debt. Needless to say, this idiot got the wrong number and I will be contacting the police to report this call.
- Call type: Debt collector
- JohnTheyt said there were Legal Support Services and was going to submit a warrant. Believe to be a scam.
- Caller: Legal Support Services
- GateKeeper replies to BrittanyThis is an old shill that slipped through the cracks.
Yes, this absolutely IS a scam.
Debt collectors are required by law to send you paperwork proving you we a debt BEFORE taking any money from you. This company is clearly breaking the law, and should be reported.
You can find all the info you need here;
