Well it was a machine that was talking but it sounded very fake so don't give any info to them.

Fake call ?

I received a call from this number with an automated voice notification. That's a payment collection call and I don't have
anything like this. I understood, it is a cheating and random call

Automated call with an Asian accent stating that I had to contact them about important legal issue or I would have appear in court.  This is a phone scam.

I have received three calls from 844-241-7555 and whenever I answer the telephone, there is no response.  Eventually, a recorded message says good bye.

Call stating that I owe money for a legal matter which was not paid?????

Its a scammer.  There is no "legal matter".  The scammer will give you a chance to buy your way out of trouble but you have to send him money right this second by giving him your credit card number or bank account number over the phone or by going to Walmart and sending the money by Green Dot.

Ask the caller to send you the details, on paper, by the US Postal Service.  Don't give him your phone number.  You don't have to pay until the paper work gets to you.  And that will be never because the scammer knows that sending a scam like that through the mail is a felony.

4 calls in two hours. I never had that volume before. I never answer the phone if I do not recognize the caller.

Here we  go again - this was a major scam outfit right around tax time earlier this yeae.  Good old David is here to help me avoid legal problems.  I guess in order to help he will need a "small" fee payable by credit card over the phone.

What's REALLY sad is that older people and those not particularly sophisticated fall for this crap.  The last time they pulled this routine, the caller ID actually showed a (bogus) number.  Now it shows Private Name and Private Number - most people probably don't bother to look up the number they ask you to call so the scam goes on because the word isn't getting out.

Called TWO MORE TIMES - 3:19 PM from Private Name Private Number and again at 3:25 PM from 844-241-7555  Sane stupid message.  These are really some sicko SOB's

been called twice in the last hour.  Received this same call about a year ago.  They never give up

This POS just called AGAIN at 3:45 PM from Private Name Private Number - if I only I knew where to physically find him (them).........

4:03 PM - I can NOT believe this stuff - that outfit just called AGAIN - Same stupid message as earlier.

Got called three times also.  Wish I knew where they lived or worked. Then you'll read about me in the news about how a scammer was beaten to within an inch of his life with a baseball bat.

i would report this number to federal goverment investigation dept  ice i already reported this number who knows who these people are the more people complaining the fed will investigate

Called back and said they are the treasury department. IRS is in a lot of trouble since they have been hacked. Stole a lot of people's identities. Be careful since they only send information in the mail.
