I got a call from this company saying they were HECO (Hawaiian electic company) they used the same recordings of the company. They said our bill was over due and had to pay for it now. When I tried to contact them again and said they are mistaken they hung up on me

You shouldn't have had to.

I got a call from 844-244-9660 yesterday calming that were xcel energy and I had a shut off today.  I knew it was a scam but played along to get more info. I told them I needed to find my credit card and would call them back. Suprisingly they gave me there #. It had the same recording and options as the real excel #. I just heckled them obout making an honest living till they blocked all my #s.

Xcel scam. They even use the xcel voice mail recording.

Scam call from "excel energy"......said I had large amount of money due and a shut off notice.....demanded payment today.
They used excel answering options as noted in other calls.  I called Excel and my bill was paid to date

SCAM number

We got a call from this # just now....claiming they were dominion power (at the business)... said her name was Haley Thompson... very persistent... SCAM... BEWARE!!!

Got a call saying they were Dominion Power and needed us to pay cash immediately to keep them from turning off our power, because a credit card payment would take too long to go through (for some reason they didn't want our CC info, just the cash). They said that our auto-bill payment contract had lapsed and that we were overdue. We discovered before it was too late that it was a hoax, because they wanted us to wire money Western Union rather than pay at a Dominion storefront. Called them back & confronted them. When asked why he couldn't do something to earn an honest living the guy said, "I need the money." There were three different people for us to talk to, and it was very, very realistic, so this is a pretty professional scam operation.

They just called and said our Dominion Power would be shut off in 30 minutes if we did not pay our bill. They wanted a PayPal payment.

Called and said they were from Dominion Virginia Power and that we owed 3 months of back payments and that service would be disconnected with 30 minutes. I asked for a number to call them back and they gave me this number 844-244-9660. Looked it up here and saw it was a scam.

Got a call from 844-277-9449 stating they were from Dominion and the technician was outside waiting for authorization to turn power off due to no payment since November. I logged in to my dom.com account and saw that we were current. I told her that the bills had been deducted from our account (she actually had the correct amount for my last 2 bills, I don't know how) correctly and asked to speak to her supervisor. She gave me a number to contact Michael Williams at 844-244-9660, ext. 1521, she couldn't transfer me. SCAM. I should have just hung up! I'm reporting them to Dominion now.
