I haven't received a call. I've got a message on my computer warning me of internet security damage and advising not to fix manually. It may crash my computer. I'm (supposed to) call Windows customer service at 1-844-252-0932 (toll free) immediately to get help fixing my computer. 'Error Code 0x800705b4 when starting Windows Defender'. Needless to say, I'm not calling them.

I too received a message from Techwhizz.com.au telling me to all 1-844-252-0932 ~ a Trojan horse was trying to infect my computer ~ the have frozen it to protect it... i should call this number for their help!

I have another laptop and looked them up.. and what i found was NOT good..  Now I need to know how to fix the problem with out i costing me any money!! Can someone help me?

Often you can just do ctl-alt-delete & kill the 'exe' of your browser, but you still need to scan your computer for virus'. Most of these are just 'scareware' that lock up your browser, but they are getting worse. On your good computer check out 'malwarebytes' which you can run in safe boot. If your computers a MAC, do a search for 'mac reset browser cache'.

Received this via Phone, sad my name and asked if it was not me to press 1, I did not do anything got caught before on one of these 844 numbers and will never answer another or allow on the computer, it cost me money to get my computer cleaned up

I got a call from an unknown number (which I never answer!), they left a voicemail saying I needed to call this number because someone was bringing legal action against my mom and they mentioned the county she lives in.  I hate to know what would have happened if my mom had actaully gotten this call!  These people prey on the elderly with their scare tactics!
