My brother got a call today. A man looking for me in regards to a court date.
I have no idea what this is about

Got a call today about some court case concerning a friend of my stepsons from high school which is over 20 years ago. No idea what this is all about. Would like to know how they got my name and current telephone number.

Called this number and talked with someone. Wanted my last name and other stuff which I did not give out.  When I asked what company this was they said Midland. That they were a mitigation agency.  I googled that and could not find anything remotely close to that except for mortgages.  I looked to see where this area code was from and it said it was a toll free number and may not even be in use. I say it's a SCAM!!!

They are rude, won't tell me what they want. I ask who they are and they reply "Midland" I need a fax number or address so I can send them a letter of intent and inform them NOT to contact my employer, which they have done twice just today
