- The unscammedCaller said his name was Stephen Barnes and stated he was from a legal firm saying I owed money for a loan I took out and never paid back and that I would be served in two days by my county which he named correctly so, here is a total scammer. I called and my county is not aware of anything against me.
- CWG40Claim to be with CCS. CCS is not a law firm. CCS are debt collectors. Ignore them. Seem to be garden variety debt scammers.
- Caller: Informational post
- LACI received a phone call from this woman stating that I had a payday loan from June of 2013 that I owed if I didn't call and give them my side of the story, they would have a warrant issued for me and arrest me on fraud. They even gave me a case file number to reference! I guess that is so they know what to say if I was stupid enough to call back.
- Caller: Clear Credit Services or CCS
- Call type: Debt collector
- NotStupidI got the same kind of call...telling me that my county had a case against me and a summons would be issued if I didn't call back. Issue that summons...I'm waiting!!
- Caller: CCS
- Call type: Debt collector
- NotFallingForItI just got the same call from Steve Barnes at CCS, referencing a case from my county. Said if I, or my lawyer, did not contact him, he would issue a summons. This appears to just be an underhanded creditor. If you want me to actually call you back, tell me who you REALLY represent. I don't return calls to unknown entities.

- Alfalfa replies to Helped me"Federal cash loan"? Since when does the government give out cash loans?
And, since you are SO happy with their services, you won't mind giving us:
The full name of this company, along with a legitimate, physical mailing address and verifiable phone number.
Federal Employee Identification Number-EIN
Proof Of Licensing, bonding and or registration by the city, town in which they are located.
Proof of licensing required by any state in which they operate by mail or telephone or email.
We're waiting.... - Slim replies to Helped meUm ...
You deny you knew the name of the company that issued the original loan?
Shucks, that is a hard thing to forget, since they would have contacted you several times, if you were a late payer.
Then, somehow, you remembered the account number (but not the name of the original company) so you could verifiy it with "ccs".
Getting deep in here!
If the "letter" you received from the "ccs" company that supposedly called you was a REAL "validation letter", it would have given the name of the original lender, as well as the date of the loan. You could have checked your credit report to see if the loan was still on there.
Who is "ccs" anyway, can you give us a full name, physical location, and website?
Are you referring to "Clear Credit Solutions, LLC", which has an "F" rating from the BBB?

OR
are you merely just another shill, trying to gin up business for the phone number listed in this thread?
