- DaveI get multiple calls on both my work number and cell trying to reach a Kieth Wheeler concerning some type of returned check. the caller says they are with "Expanse Mediation" There is not nor has there ever been a Kieth Wheeler at these numbers.
- Caller: Expanse Mediation
- Call type: Debt collector
- Anonymous| 1 replyReceived a recorded voice mail on my personal cell number, advising call from Advanced Mediation looking for a Lori Simpson, something about advising legal conusel, and referred to cile # 366660. Sounds like a debt collector to me, but I refuse to call them back as could also be a scam, just to get my own personal info. I don't know a Lori Simpson, and never have. I've had this particular cell number for a good 3 - 4 years now, and have been repeatedly receiving call looking for Lori Simpson. Only thing I can guess is that she either had my cell number before I did (long time ago now), or she offered up a bogus number. In either case it's not me, and I will refer these calls to the Texas Attorney General's office as harassment, plus it costs me minutes on my limited cell phone budget.

- chi101 replies to AnonymousThat can be the case. She may have had the # before you, but you should call the company let them know that they have the wrong #. If you don't let them know then yeah they will contact you. Also to let you know its not harrassment if you never contacted them to let them know that it is a wrong #. Once you call and tell them that and they con't to call then it is harrassment.
- SarahThis number calls me every single day. I blocked them on my iphone but I still get google voice emails. I called and asked them to stop and they were extremely rude and said that they never called me. The rude guy at the office said they are they Department of Arbitration for Advanced Mediation, even though that does not exist anywhere online.
- Caller: Department of Arbitration for Advanced Mediation
- Charlie| 3 repliesGot a text message from 2012689900@sms.myboostmobile.com telling me that a virus was detected and I should call back at 8442772995. Based on comments above, this is clearly some sort of scam. Also searched this MyBoostMobile, which turns out to be a company that sells anonymous prepaid cell phones.

- SueBeware of this phone number! If you value your identity, do NOT call them, or give them any information if they call you! In my case, they didn't actually call me; this phone number appeared in a pop-up message on my iPhone when I clicked on a link that I'd received in an email from a trusted friend who owns his own company. The message specifically indicated that my "iOS device may have adware/spyware virus; call iOS Tech Support", and it included this phone number in the message. When I called the number, the recording said "Thank you for calling" - but didn't provide a company name at all. This made me suspicious, so when I got connected, I asked the guy to give me the name of his company and a website address where I could confirm their legitimacy. He told me that he was from Apple support, and that I could either speak with him to get my issue resolved right away, or I could go down to the Apple store to resolve the issue, but if I chose that option, I'd need to leave my iPhone there for 3-4 business days. I said "okay", then hung up. I immediately called Apple, and my suspicions were confirmed: 1. Apple will NEVER put a phone number in a message on its phones; 2. The only legitimate number for Apple support is 1-800-MYAPPLE; 3. The longest it would take to resolve a virus issue would be 20-30 minutes, not 3-4 days. Apple support was terrific; they helped me clear my browsing history and cold-boot my phone to ensure that it's free of any potential viruses. They also suggested that I send my trusted friend an email to let him know that a suspicious party may be using his email address for phishing purposes. I know this is a lot of information, but I hope it helps you avoid any similar situations!
