A woman with a foreign accent called my work # ask for the supervisor or manager for me using my premarital name from 10 yrs ago.  I pretended to go along with her & claimed to be a supervisor.  She indicated that it was very urgent that I call her back using the case # she provided or I would end up in court.  I asked her where she was calling from and she said some "legal office"  I truly couldn't understand her.  I called the # back and they wanted to verify my SS# before they would give me any info.  I refused so she told me not to waste her time & hung up on me.

It is a scam. They try to get you to give them a payment octet the phone for some debt. (In my case, it was a payday loan I never took out.) They will not give you any information other that that they are an arbitration firm.

Called me twice, my mom once. Asked for me by my maiden name. No info given about actual "loan" backed down when I said I'd contact the financial institution directly to verify this info. Seemed suspicious, previously threatened lawsuit in voicemail.

Getting calls about  claim against me and going to contact my place of work.

My husband got a call from this number, they asked for the last 4 of his SSN, they said it was an old loan that was funded to Bank of America several years ago, they wanted to set up payday payments on his debit card, then they called my number and wanted him to call back to verify his arrangements.

they called 3 times in an hour spoke with some one all 3 times and the siad they where a law firm

Yep they called me too! A foreign lady with a heavy accent claiming I have 2 claims against me and someone will be serving me some papers

I got the same call today. They were very persistNt and said they would take 50 percent off.  If I pay today.  And threatened with a law suit if I did not.

Said they had a claimahainst me. When i adked they said. They said a pyday lian co.  I have never had a payday loan and told them to srnd me proof.  The hung up.  Can you spell SCAM.....

They called me on both of my phones.  I asked them where they were from.  They said IPS, so I called IPS and they said they don't have anything to do with debt collection.  A women called with a foreign accent.  I believe they are pulling information off of our credit reports because the information they gave me was from my credit report.  The place that they said I owe does not sound familiar to me, nor is it on my credit report, only the address and my place of employment (they provided).  Right away they say they want my debit card to give them $790, but I could pay half of that if I want.  When I played along and said I would give them my debit card they got nice all of a sudden.  When I told them they were a scam they hung up on me.  They get mad when you tell them they are a scam.  They can't provide the name or amount of your debt, even the year you apparently got a loan?  They didn't say payday loan.  They also said they would have a person come to my house to serve me papers.  When I said that I read from law offices online that if they ever say that, they for sure are a scam.  They then hung up on me.  Run as fast as you can!

I spoke with them and they told me this exact information. That I owed $790 and I could pay half today and not be served papers. They also could not tell me what year or what company I owed to. What a scam!

i was threated by this person, stating i have some files against. i have no idea who this is. she sounds foreign.

Called and Mario said that his company, IPS, was an arbitration company. He then stated that he needed to verify that they were talking to me and asked for my SS. I then said i would trade mine for his after i verified that he was actually Mario. Of course he refused. I continued to argue with him for a few minutes and he got upset and hung up.

I got a call from this number during school at 10:14 am,  PST. Since I was in 3rd period at that time and phones are not allowed at school, I let it go to voicemail, and it was this prerecorded message for Anthony Gordy Mayor(?), from some law place(?).
It was about a legal claim from a company, the name of which is not said. It then gave me a phone number and claim number, which I forget. However, the phone number was another 844 number.

I keep getting calls from 844-278-8485 stating they are going to be pursuing me at ,y place of employment and my home I don't know who these people are but I never answer I let them leave messages. They call everyday

Called me and my emergency contacts. Gave a case number. Said to call right away. Needed attorney. Blah, blah, blah

Some of the earlier reports pretty much cover the same type of contact I've had. I haven't given/confirmed any information.

Some young lady called and left a message to call this number. When I returned the call she asked my ss  number..then she proceed to say she was representing a company I had taken a loan out with in 2011..deposit in my account...and said they would have papers delivered at my job or home..but I knew right off she was not telling the truth..because I closed this account in 2010,,due to a lay off with the bank..I made her aware of that and she wanted to argue..and I told her do not call my phone ..no more..she hang up..this has happened before...but I let out a few words this time(lord for give  me)tied of people trying to steal your hard earn money.

We had this # on our phone when we got home today. We called it back and woman with foreign accent asked if we had a case #. We said no and she  assumed my husband was my son and gave his name. My son lives in another state and never lived here. My husband said they had wrong #. Never admitted he was familiar with name they mentioned. Googled the area code and found the responses posted.

They have been calling me and my family claiming that there is some sort of claim against me but did not give me any information unless I verified the last 4 of my social.
