called to say i have a package they want to deliver and wanted me to confirm info....total crap

Called someone I BARELY know that lives in my building, had my name and did the callback reference # thing. Mentioned the legal paperwork crap, which they can't do to anyone but the person themselves, so there's your scam sign. What [***]! And no, they can't serve papers to you for someone else it doesn't work like that. Ignorant (#*(#$* to boot. This is a new twist to this scam, never had someone's name before nor call someone out of the blue unrelated? And I have 2 relatives in the same place, guess they weren't good enough! ROFL

That some funny s*it lol. I figured what could it hurt? It was in reference to an old outstanding bill that I had. I ask for documentation to be sent via us post office. Awaiting for mail....

Called asking me to verify information and that I had a 7,000$ bill I owed on a discover credit card. I've never had a discover card NOR have I ever had any credit limit over $1,000!

Says I have outstanding bill with a cell phone company. They did not have correct address for me. Told me all kinds of crap, like when the case goes to court that the cell phone company can freeze assets, do wage withholding, and tax return intercept. Said only way to stop all that from happening is to settle out of court. The amount for settling out of court is $838 and some change. If goes to court, they are going for over $3,000.....I am so reporting this cause all of this does not add up!!

Stating that they are going to indite me in a county I have not lived in over 24 years. Gave a claim number to me sounds like a bill collector, calling anyone with the same last name as I have. Called, Mother, Ex Wife, and who knows who else.

Called and asked for a friend of mine.  Said they needed to deliver legal papers to "prevent legal action".  After looking up the other calls here, it seems like a total scam.  They called from a local number of 772-240-7589, but gave the 844-307-3655 as a callback.  I delivered the message with the caveat it is likely a scam.  What scumbags!

Yeah my old roommate just texted me about that.. she got a call asking for me.. they got to deliver legal paperwork, blah blah.. scam..

ID themselves as "Fidelity".  Nothing more.  Say they are in California.  Person  I talked to wouldn't give me any more info.  This "Fidelity" also appears on 800notes 844-307-1815.  Same sort of gobbledygook threatening nonsense.   Uses a parked website http://fidelity-cap.com/defaultsite .  Same CIDs including "Fidelity" and "DSD" and "DSD services".  Basically the same group.

Any calls from these numbers should be ignored and blocked.

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

I wonder how they got my sec#......seems pretty weird to me.

A woman by the name Marie Crot (sp) at 760-710-0116 called and said there is a legal document to be delivered to me, call 1-844-307-3655 for more information. I traced the 844 number which turned out to be a scam. I also traced 760 number which is a scam too

Called repeatedly from 412-387-9317. Claimed to be from "special delivery service". When I asked if USPS, she said yes. Gave this fake 844 number. Said I absolutely had to call it and agree to delivery of special docs by tomorrow. Of course, the 412 number is a non-working phished number. Told her I did not believe her and that no delivery possible. She swore at me and hung up. Of course, will be blocking both her numbers.

844-307-3655 called my daughter today asking for my 84 year old mother. I called them back with the reference number they left and informed them I have her power of attorney. That if they need to speak with her they would need to speak with me first. The man was nasty I was going to cal him a gentleman but that he was not. I told him to stop calling and that if he insisted that we would file a police report against them. He hung up on me.

Called today and said I had legal documents to be delivered. Said I had to call another number and give a reference number. Sounded foreign. Number came up as Wal Mart on the CID! LMFAO! NOT CALLING THE OTHER NUMBER.

Called my phone looking for my husband.. Ask what this call was about. Stated that they needed to  deliver Legal papers. Gave me a 844 number with a ref number.. I called the 844 number gave them the ref number told me my husband last four of his Ssi and told me he had a  waiting in the credit card with  Providian and he was in good standing for four years but own $1652 and if we set up a payment plan he will pay $3000 but if it goes to court his wages will be  garnish for $8000. So after I hung up I called my husband and ask if he ever had a Providian credit card and he said no.. Nice try with their [***]. How bout go get a real job and stop trying to rip people off

They called me repeatedly told me they would be here with legal paperwork the next day never showed wouldn't give me any info on anything then they called a family member who lives with someone else and the phone isn't in her name nor have I ever gave it out they knew ss numbers dates of birth nicknames phone numbers ......how r they gathering their info and how can we stop it
