Constant calls, when answer machine gets the call, they hang up!

(844) 313-3753  Live political survey call, Caller ID: "800 Service"

They asked for my wife by first and last name and she took the call.

Political survey, "...if the June 2014 US Senate elections were held today, how would you vote..."

He read a series of biographical sketches about the NJ candidates followed by recent statements by them and asked her to rate the "believability" on a scale from 2 to 100 where 2 is low and 100 is high.

I try to record these calls using Google Voice, but this particular call came in on our other phone number so I wasn't able to record the call.

Political poll. I asked what agency and he was unwilling to be more specific. Questions all seemed legit and not too lengthy and focused on general political opinion so I'm not concerned.

asked caller to remove us from their list. they replied "it's a short interview". asked them again to remove us from their list. they replied "we'll try again" and hung up

Call came through with just the number, nothing else. If it is a survey it should list it as so. They might get a response. Blocked it anyway.

Received call after 9:00pm local. Caller as
Led for me by name. I asked if I could say was calling - caller hung up.

Don't these people send enough JUNK MAIL to my house always talking down their opponent

All they say is : Vote for me and I'll set you free

Called several times back to back. When I called the number states that it is market research firm doing political survey. But this was pure harassment when no one asks a questions..

Unknown company. Online searches state that it is a SCAM.

So sick of these people calling at all times....day and night! Do not answer, I let the answering machine pick up......no one leaves a message.

called at 9:13 p.m. June 24.   Let answering machine pick up and then they hung up.   Put on Do Not Call list.

Has called my landline at least 4 times. 3 of them at 8:58 PM or so. I've never answered it.  

Called three times this week. Twice in the last 2 hours. When I asked whom they represented the caller refused to say...just "a survey." I told them we weren't interested. They called back two hours later. My number is on the do not call list.

The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list  is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

TeleScammer Spam.  Picked up, but did not respond.  Boiler room operation, heard several calls ongoing in background.  Multiple calls, blocked now..
