Was it a payday loan debt

This number was traced back to an abandoned lot in Louisiana.  SCAM!

They called myself and my son about my husband and she refused to give me any info and said was from a company called star something I was so mad I forgot company name then I asked her are you Esmeralda who sounded just like girl who left me the message and she said no her name is Karla Richardson. I think it's a scam we don't owe anyone anything

Christy Haygood from Stark Recovery Legal Department called claiming that I owe $2850 from a payday loan in 2011.  Funny since I've never taken out a payday loan.  Threatened to bring legal action against me if I didn't pay $850 right then.  I asked her to verify that the loan was mine and also asked for the companies Federal ID number.  She started cutting me off and getting irate.  I promptly hung up with her and filed a complaint about her and the company she works for.  I did get a so called address from another person there and sent a letter requesting verification and to cease and desist wonder if it's going to come back.  Since they claim to be in California she must go to work early because she calls me at 8:15 am...guess scammers go to work before the crack of dawn in California.

This number called me I didn't answer she left a VM saying that she needs to speak with me about a important matter and if I don't call her back they will come to my job and place of business she advised a4111106 reference respond number I called back twice got a automated answering machine she hasn't called back and this  happened Wednesday its now Friday I believe it's a scam cause I don't owe anyone money

The CIDs of Stark Law and Stark Recovery occur repeadetly on 800notes at the various numbers they use. They are one in the same group, seems to me.

They started by threatening, but I have a big metal whistle and I blow it right in their ears,  They immediately hung up.

I received a call from Stark Recovery stating I took out a loan in Dec 2012 and that loan was in default for insufficient funds... But could supply any written document nor the specific date the was opened or any documents to support the clsim

They called not verifying any information except that they were a legal department needing to speak with my son. But would not give any identifying information!!

Ok so a rep from Stark Recovery called my sister looking for me. Said I took out a pay day loan for 500 dollars and I need to settle with their client for 950. I supposedly took out this pay day loan in Oct 2013 and it was in default for insufficient funds.  She read my social and said it was a online loan and gave me my email address. Even gave an address smh. I don't remember takin. Out any loan for 500 dollars. Then told me if I didn't pay then she would pursue legal action.

Called my phone looking for my husband whom I have been separated from for over 5 years, who is incarcerated and doesn't have my number so how did they get this number??? They called from a 800-207-####. I called back and tried to speak with a supervisor and they got upset with me trying to talk over me and inturrupt me. So to no avail I couldn't get any information about it. They said they don't have a web site. I'm pretty upset about this!

They called me Eric Boise from stark. agency. He said, the company that Financed the loan was Tiro Capital, LLC. , and said that I owed money from March 2011. I took out a payday loan for $300.00 and I needed to pay. They gave me a payment option to pay out for $390.00 or a payment plan for 6. If i didnt pay they were going to file a lawsuit in my state in the amount of $2,750.00. They called from 866-208-9774 and also and 866-208-7584.

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

I also received a call state I took out a loan in 2013. She had my social security number  and also was very disrespectful on the phone. I told her that I never took out any loan and ask her to send me the information on this loan. She began to tell me that it was on my loan documents. I told her how is it possible to apply for a loan that I never seen or signed for a loan. She told me that legal action would be take towards me. I told her I never took out a loan ,to stop call me or I will have my attorney to contact them.
