- EJ| 5 repliesI just received a similar call from this number. the woman left a message stating they were serving notice for a breach of contract and left a case number. The scary thing is she had every name I've ever gone by and my last four ssn. Said she was from JT White and Associates. She also said they were calling be before they contacted my employer to settle. The only thing I can find is a plumbing company by that name.
- Caller: JT White and Associates

- KimI got the same call. When I called them back, they told me a persons name and when I said I wasn't her, The guy told me a was a liar and he was going to make my "life miserable". I told him to bring it on and I then called The consumer Finance and the Attorney Generals office. They told me to try to get the business name and address. When I called back the same guy answered and when I asked for it... he hung up on me!
Beware of this guy!- Call type: Debt collector
- ReneeI got a call from this number and the guy that left the message said the same thing as most of the others who got this call. Serving papers, final warning. He did not leave a name or company information. I had a call last week where they called the property owner of my home and said the same thing but it was a different number. These are scams and I have made reports with the attorney generals office.
- Caller: unknown scam
- Dreamer| 4 repliesI just got a call a guy shouting at me that I took a loan of $200 from some company in 2012 beginning and I need to settle. If not I will be sued in court. They know my name, mobile and work number as well as bank account number. I never took such a cash loan at that time. He gave me 24 hours to settle this by paying an amount. I'm worried they got all these info. What to do?
- Call type: Debt collector
- bettysaid they were LLC;same info as everyone else
- Caller: llc
- CWG40 replies to tx girlTotal scam. No legitimate process server calls you and lets you know in advance they are coming by. No one can serve you process who is not licensed or approved in your state. Debt collectors are generally not licensed to serve process in any event. Ignore and block the calls.
- CWG40 replies to Dreamer| 1 replyThis is most likely some sort of debt scamming operation. Read the other notes. A failure to ID themselves with a concrete name and address you can verify is a good indication that they are basically some sort of scam. These people are changing their caller IDs regularly. Ignore and block the calls.
Also, I'd change out all my financial account numbers if I were you.
Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a DIME until the debt is validated.
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.
If they are bothering you,
Report them:
http://www.consumerfinance.gov/Complaint/#debt-collection
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now. - CWG40ID themselves as MUHL corporation. No idea what that is. Guy was combative when I asked for more information.
- Caller: Informational post (such as it is)
- Looie replies to AmandaI received same message. Called them back from another phone number and asked who I was calling. They told me the name of MUHL Corp. They then asked if I was googling them?? I replied yes and she abruptly hung up on me. Sounds like scam / fraud to me. Ignore or hang up when you get their calls

- AnnoyedThis caller said that they were from Regional Locator Services LLC. WHICH SAID IT WAS NOT A DEBT COLLECTOR, but they are notifying me of a court case. I just did a search through my state and several other states Secretary of State websites and could not find any LLC registered under that name. They said they were on behalf of Portfolio Management Services. I looked up this service and per this link http://www.floridadebtfighters.com/fdcpa-righ ... associates-inc/
Portfolio Management Services has had several class action suits for them trying to recover accounts that are too old. Per this article, In May 2014, Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC was one of two debt collection companies that agreed to pay a combined $475,000 in penalties and drop collection efforts on $16 million worth of accounts after the State of New York alleged they broke the law by trying to collect obligations that were too old, Bloomberg News reported.
