I got a call from the number 844-337-8110 and they left a message that in 24 hours the CRA would seize all my assets and bank account if I don't settle a debt I have with them.  They say to call back to speak to someone.  I got scared and wanted to call back at first but then realized I don't have any debt to settle and that it's a SCAM!!!

I got the same message as you ,I think this is a scam

I have received the message twice today; so I called the number to tell them to F-OFF... Surprisingly I got a live person....so I feel better telling what to do to himself!
It is absolutely a scam....I'm just hoping my number has not been captured by calling
I am now going to call the police....not sure if they will do anything...but worth trying. -

Got the same message about the CRA seizing my assets. It sounded like a very robotic message though. Relieved to know it was just a scam. Thanks to previous posters.

this person has called my aged mother 8 times in the last week.  Very disturbing to an elderly woman.   The phone # the lady left was this # 844-337-8110 and she said her name was Alisha Thomas.  I am reporting her to 1-888-495-8501  Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and I suggest everyone else does the same thing.

I have received the same call from the same # (844-337-8110) twice today, the 2nd time I didn't answer and a message was left, it was the same as what I heard earlier.  Definitely a scam!  Going to block the number.

I got this message 5 times today, all the same message as above. There were 2 different numbers to call back. I called this number and the man referred to me as the initials of my name as it appears in the phone book. He was very curt with me and when I mentioned this he became very rude. Bells and whistles were going off telling me this is a scam!!! I will report it as Lisa suggests.

Obviously a scam although worrisome that some seniors may respond and give out private information.  I did call back this number which took me to a bogus CRA office.  Almost immediately a busy signal came on, hopefully because the scam has been dealt with by now.

I got message few times and call back... succided to speak to some person.  He also was saying that I have debt to CRA. After discussion I realized that this is a scam. The name was Peter Black...

Had three robo calls in a row. First all garbled, then a clearer computer voice with the same threatening message. Got my heart racing (don't we all fear the taxman?). Thank you, posters for pointing out the scam. I've heard about it, but never experienced it. No wonder some people are frightened into paying...

the same as the others. they identify as revenue canada. this must be illegal. i am going to report them to the anti fraud at 1 888 495 8501

Got the same person calling me tonight. The last time they called it was an automated message.

I received this call at 4:30 pm and phoned back and messages was the same and aside from that he' s threatening me that they will issue warrant of arrest and police will arrest me if I will not pay right away and when I asked again what was my violations that I do not know? And he hang up the phone. And I phoned again why he hang up the phone because I need to know and send me your letter and not responding and hang up again...

Yes, please do. I got called like  4 times today with this utter nonsense, and I was quite angry at these scammers for what they have done to others! i am going to call the hotline tomorrow. By the way, the number seems to be in Arizona.

I got a call from this number , Claiming they are CRA , with a india accent , and they told me that they seizing my assets , and will send RCMP to me with a warrant , well , I call the RCMP  and told them that B.S. ,

Same company.  Guy said that I owed money to CRA, had some bogus amount, was a live person.  Then when I asked him questions, saying where is this coming from, does he had an account number or some documentation, he hung up

Same as everyone else. Called the number back with my cell, says it's a U.S. number. Don't fall for it and never give out your SIN number. They called u. They have your info if legit.

Scam for sure.  There's no way the CRA would start collections on a debt by 1st leaving a voice mail saying your assets will be seized in 24 hrs.  Bogus.  You'd get all sorts of letters first and if/when it came to phone calls it would be a real person with a name left with lots more information.  Not: you owe us money.  Pay now or we steal your house.

They called two times in a row today. Well I am waiting for a refund from CRA from 2014 income tax, they owe me money.

Got two messages left - very robotic - I have no intention of responding.
