just got a VM call from this number asking my BF if he knew me and said his name was Ed Sims and he had a legal document that was going to be served to me in my county.  He needed my bf to contact me. then he thanked him and left his number and this contact number to get back to him....funny the number came back on my phone as 203...not a real number. So it piqued my interest as this scam I see all the time in my office. well I found out its a scam trying to get me to pay an old debt from 7 years ago that should be gone and uncollected. Will these people ever stop their  illegal collection activities......best thing to do I told my bf is to ignore these calls, if they want you or need you they can find you thru the court system.

I just got a call from this ED Simms guy what an [***]. I told him who he was looking for wasnt me...he went on and on about being a lawyer and he had papers...I told him to deliver them if he was so smart, and hung up then I looked this number up. first its a new number of 800,s Great , more numbers to spam us from, and second I saw that the company US Collections buys junk debts and tries to collect on them. I wish I could get them, but having read alot of boards I know better...they will just spoof numbers or get another one....something has to be done!

Who are these new idiots? they are calling my whole family over what? an old debt from 2007? get real...get serious. I have told all my family members to ignore these calls.  I traced the number to a company called US Collections. They have a super bad rating and are known scammers. They spoof numbers and change names to avoid being caught, because what they do is illegal they buy debt for pennies over the dollar and get paid anyway they can.  It is illegal to try and collect on a resold debt and they are harassing people. I have reported them to BBB and to my state Attorney General. I live in Pennsylvania. In the meantime I told my youngest daughter not to answer the phone, nor give these [***] any information.
