Called looking for a member of my family and said he gave them my number..BS He doesn't have my home number. Told them to take my number off their list and they said no.

Received a call from this number stating that they had a "case" against me with a case number and said they needed to hear from me immediately otherwise they would be forced to take "action" against me

Same story as Hazel. Said "I'm from the County Legal Department". I'm like... Which county?  He said Los Angeles, but first asked me to repeat my question. Gave me a case #. Sounds like a scam. The guy knew my name and my relative's name. Glad I didn't give any further info.

I am no expert, but I don't believe that they call to warn you that you are being served legal documents!!  LOL.  These people are a total scam, give them NO info, and don't waste your time or energy talking to them!

They ID themselves as Certified Recovery Group.  "Legal offices"   Of course they are not a law firm and there are no "legal offices"; that's just double-talk for debt collector.

I just received a call from these people.  When I stated I was not home to receive their "served legql documents".  They basically told me it was my responsibility to be available for the to deliver such papers.  This was the aign that its a scam.   Having served people in the past,  its not their issue if they are not home its the server.   They gave me this number to call and the original call was "unavailable".  Scam!  I don't owe anyone anything.  

Yep, I just got the exact same call. Failure to call the number given in 24 hours will result in ... yeah. Sure.

They called my daughter stating that I was in trouble b/c they had sent my "court documents" to our old address and I needed to call immediately to avoid a situation. Poor girl was distressed and called me at work! Ridiculous situation. Of course, they blocked their number. I  told her not to answer blocked numbers!!

I just got a call from these people  who are they ? they wanted to send me some papers to sign LOL  

This people called my husband and told them they where trying to contact me to serve me They mention a that there was gonna be a warrant for my arrest and I would go to jail if I didn't call back. Called back with my little case number I was issued.  Turns out they try to scare you to get ur money and I almost fell for it..... Don't give them any info they are scammers.... They should be arrested

They called me and left a message to have me call immediately I called and they said that they were taking me to court and suing me for 12 thousand dollars for an old credit card dept of about 200 the debt was real but about 10 years old, they knew my name and who i worked for in the past but I think they were just looking for new info.

Received a call at work from a Jake Walters stating that he wanted to notify me before showing up to my place of employment with a court summons. He stated that he was a contracted process server contracted by CRG. He gave me a number of 844-355-4009 and a case file # in order to give me the opportunity to contact the company prior to being served. He said I had an hour and a half tops. He refused to supply me with a call back number when requested. This is harassment, plain and simple. It's unlawful and must be stopped. There's nothing like receiving this kind of phone call at work to completely ruin your day. Blood pressure went through the roof and concentration is shot to say the least.

Called to say the IRS is filling a law suit against me and this is final notice in the first phone call. Called back and didn't even ring and hung up on me.
