Are they for real or fakes? I paid them $1579 couple weeks ago, on a loan I had already paid off. They said I had 3 counts of fraud against me.

A phone call, email or text message from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:

* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.   ["Written" means snailmailed - US Mail ... not emailed or texted]

Therefore, if that caller wants you to pay immediately, before you get the written validation notice via snailmail, or if the caller wants payment via Green Dot, MoneyGram, Western Union, prepaid gift card or other untraceable means, then the call is definitely not legitimate.

Did you receive anything in WRITING that was mailed (by the post office) to you???  Did you pay them because a voice over the phone told you to??  If you did, you were probably scammed out of that money.  Do not pay anymore unless you have a mailed document of proof - especially if you paid off the long in the past.

I just receive a phone call from this number and the following numbers associated with it:  866-581-4349 and 910-227-4586.  All said they were from A&D litigation.  When I called the 866 number the only address they would give was a PO Box 157 in tampa florida.  When I tried to verify the business through the BBB and legal search services, no business was listed.  Heard from Byron Washington and another named Michael Battle.  Threatened three counts of fraud were being filed against me.  Definitely a scam.

Just called my wife looking for me. Left a voicemail message stating that I was in violation of the law and threatened me with two court cases pending against me. They called from 319-209-4686, and said to call back at 866-581-4349 stated that they could mail me anything bc they didn't have my address, yet they can find my wife's NEW phone number?! Pleaaaaaase. The answering system goes right to you being put int a holding queue. Anyone who knows the company owner or address please respond so that I can file a complaint with the CFPB, my lawyer, and the attorney general of the state they are in. These people need shut down they are ruining my life and many others

Just listened to the voicemail listed on my wife's phone. Says several judgements are pending legal action, and they will be serving me soon. Says to contact them before the 25 (tomorrow) to figure the rest out, say I'll be served in my county xxx and to call back to provide proper addresses to be served too. At the very end she says "good luck in court, consider this your legal notice". SHOULD I BE WORRIED?! I thought I shouldn't be but all of a sudden...

A&D Litigations just contacted my work informing me I had 3 account of fraud being press against me. By a Denis Mccory. She persued to tell me that CMG were filling the charges against me that I owed $7692 to them. The number they contacted me from was 866-923-2449 ext 205. I have also filled bankruptcy and just got my discharg papers in in march and she tried tell that I didn't. Im ashamed that I had to file but why would I brag about it. any way How can they treat people like this. Scaring them into getting ppls money.$$$$$

Contact the CFPB to file a complaint please. It is illegal what they are doing.

Also the company they claim to be suing you is under investigation by the CFPB, and their assets are frozen.'

They called my job saying to get in contact with them immediately because I had 3 counts of fraud against me and I was going to be served with papers today. Of course me being 8 months pregnant and my bestfriend working the morning shift at my job called me scared thinking I was going to jail. They offered to let me settle with 500 dollars today or 3 payments from now til mid September but wouldn't tell me details of how I could pay it off with the payments until I gave them my debit card number.  They then became very unprofessional because my boyfriend was listening to the phone call and suspected a scam and they asked to speak with the guy in the background that was obstructing me. Very weird. The call back number was 866 639 2339 ext 204. Kevin Kelly or something like that was the name.

This company A&D litigation is a scam company!!! Do not give them any money or information. My friend also got called at her job saying they had fraud charges against her and would be arrested.  I called the 1-866-639-2335 ex 205 and they were not able to give me a valid address, fax number or e-mail address. They would not even give me an Attorney name associated with the company.....even though they say they have 20 that work there. The best I could get was a PO box 157 out of Tampa Fl. SCAM!!! The girl's name that called my friend was Denise McCoy. I hope this helps people.

I got this same type call and address but the company is cardinal legal from what they told me I told them i need info to give to my lawyer and they hung up on me

I did not receive a call from the number listed but did get a threatening call from 855-201-1206. They have taken  $100 from my account and the receipt says national billing on it. Could this be the same people? Just called and was told mailing addreso was the same po box 157

They called me from 866-351-8630, left a threatening message and when I called back said they were Access Services, PO box 157, Tampa, FL 36602. ** This is a fraud ** !! They would not provide an attorney's name, a case number .. NOTHING! Be careful with these idiots!!

I got the same message that I did bank fraud, bad checks, will take away my licence, garnish my wages from a payday loan 7 years ago.  Could not give me the name of the place where it came from.  They wanted me to send $375 or I the county sheriff would serve me.  This is the same address as above.  The woman who called me was Mary Chapman.  When I called back to ask their address, what the company was called I was hung up on at least a dozen times and then they threatened to call the police on my.  Good luck, I live in PA.  I called my lawyer and he wanted their fax # so the would leave me alone and the fax number did not exist.  they were called Access Processing or some other name because when you called them they answered with several different titles.  I almost sent the money because they had me so upset but did not.
