- BigA replies to chandra wallsThis is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. They also use the “process server” who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number. Now why would a “process server” want to do you, a stranger, a favor, and at the same time not get paid to deliver the papers?
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

900.00 dollars if I didnt she was turning my file over to the police and they would pick me up. I told her I need money just like she do. She said can you give something towards the 900.00 then she said I should let you know this is being recorded if we have to use it. Cause if we take you to court we would win and you would pay more then 900.00 - SusanI received a call from Christy Bradley 844-394-4961 x-426, no company name given. She gave me a Bank of America account number and referenced the last 4 digits of my SSN and said I was going to be sued for $1500. I just listened and hung up. We called Bank of America, that account number is not under our name, we don't know if it even exists. They said to call Experian, and file a fraud alert.

- Monica EvansCalled my job saying she is calling about a legal matter. I tried calling the number back and it wont work on our office phone. I read details about the scam they are trying to pull. I will be reporting this also to our Employee director to press charges for calling a government phone.
- That guyReceived this call on my personal line and office line, stating I owed a company $1400 for a loan. Only loan I have is my car loan that is through my local credit union. She states that her name is Heather an she is trying to notify me and wants me to call to change the outcome, and to get ready if I do not call back she will contact her legal department. First of all, there is tons of background noise that sounds like they are from a call center. Second, she sounded like she was reading off of a script and doing a bad job at that. And third, she repeated her name, but first started to say her name was "Lucy" then quickly said Heather.
I received a second call the same day on my office line with another message saying she will do what it takes to get her legal department after me. I informed her that there can be no legal action made over the phone, and stating you will do so if fraud and is also illegal. I told her I will be filing a claim with my State Attorney General, and she said "good luck that will not stop our legal department." I then informed her legal action must be done in certified mail. Very rude people, and very annoying. Trying to make you give into scare tactics. If you do have debt, I recommend you see a credit agency and see what you have and contact that company to resolve your debt. - desmond wayne| 3 repliesgotta call from this regarding my American web loan/ told rep flat out I know there not pursuing this but I know they have a job to do. its sad they have to use these tactics to get people to pay but after reading this im not surprised as to why, if you have a debt pay it stop playing victim

So how about giving us the rest of the info on this so called great company there! Since you have done business with them you should have the following information.
► Legal verifiable Business name
► Legal verifiable street address, city and state
► Web site
► BBB page - I pay REAL bills replies to desmond wayneThe proof is on the collector, not the debtor. A letter, by US Mail, stating who the debt was originally with. For how much, and how much you owe now. There will also be a name, address, and phone number as you are able by Law to contest it. We do not pay criminal 3rd world extortionists faking their caller ID and demanding money on fake debts.
- Resident47 replies to desmond wayneYes, yes, and when morale improves the beatings will stop. The only sad part is how many of you Buffalo Bullies think you own the high road of morality.
