Supposedly trying to collect on old debt, offering settlement amount. Shady.

Scam. Claims to be with 'Court Recovery' and essentially warns/threatens with a summons if you do not call back. Lol, go ahead. Summon me. See you in court. Like there is such a thing as a debtor's jail. That [***] doesn't even work, why do they try so hard? Like a debt collector can get legal charges 'dismissed'. Laughable. Marked as spam on my phone and blocked.

I got a call from this number claiming to represent a payday loan company.  I've never used a payday loan "service" in my life.  I have heard of people with foreign-sounding names being targetted by similar scams, so I think they targetted me thinking I would be scared enough to send them money.  They used the (false) names "Dianne Jamison" and "Lance Forbes".  Google the name of the business and there is no such business.  They claim to represent VIP Loan Shop.

Scam.  Targets people who don't know any better.  Called FTC and left complaint (1-877-382-4357).  Option "1" works, even though it's not technically identity theft, you will get a person who will take the information.

This number just called our land line 5 times in a row within not even a minute.  I have no idea who these idiots are, but I have just blocked the number.

Asked for me by name said his company was called Court Recovery. He asked again is this Michelle I'm speaking with, I said it might be what's this about? He said I cant say unless you confirm you are Michelle. I said well I'm not. Bye, I don't want to know that bad.

Seems to be a new fake name being used by extortionists trying to scare you into paying them money over nonexistent debt.

Claimed to be "Court Recovery". Caller said her name was Diane Jamison, but fumbled over the name. Threatened with court action. Laughable.

Call from this number claimed "Court Recovery" said her name Diane Jameson. Stumbled over address in Miami Fl. Address doesn't exist.  Threatened with arrest for Check Fraud and Theft by Conversion.  Asked where located and couldn't pronounce name of county correctly.

They are trying to serve papers on a old debt. I called the company and they have charged off the account.  Very shady and rude!
