I received an unknown call and they left me a voicemail saying there is a legal case file against me, but about a month prior there was a similar voicemail that I received with the same pattern voicemail. The first call I received they mentioned that they are calling for my uncle, an uncle that I hardly speak to, let alone I don't even have his phone number. Then they mention that they were contracted to "schedule the delivery of your son as to appear" and left a call back number (1-844-232-7877) and also a case number with a threat saying if there is no call back within 24 hours they will verify the address and something about the income, which did not make sense since the person that left the voicemail did not speak clearly. After I received that voicemail I called that number and the guy that picked up was so rude. I asked him why they are contacting me about my uncle, he said very rudely "you need to tell your uncle to contact us!" the click he hung up.

This time the second voicemail I got was almost the same, but instead of mentioning my uncle they mention my name, and on top of that the last name in the voicemail did not sound like my last name at all and they also left a middle name which I do not have, and the woman that left the voicemail said "we've been contracted to schedule this delivery of certified documents someone wants to speak to you directly before further actions in case there are actions you are un aware of" and she leaves back a call number (1-844-500-7635) and a different case number. And also says if there is no call back within 24 hours they will deem my address and income to verify information. So I called that number back again to tell them to take my name off of their calling list and stop pestering me trying to get my information for fraud reasons. The rep that I spoke to asked me for the "case number" I provided it and he said their is "legal litigation" against me but wouldn't give me more information on that. He also asked if my name is what was mentioned in the voicemail I said no, and then he guessed my name again and this time it was correct, he then mentions my uncle right after that. Now he claims the case is not about me, but about my uncle. The rep started to get frustrated when I asked him the reason they are contacting me instead of him, saying I was a "source contact" since he is my uncle. I don't understand out of all his family members, children, brothers, sisters, and ex-wife they chose to call my number and I barely have any contact with him. The rep then gets a little offensive. I asked to speak to his manager, and he says that he is his manager, which I do not believe. I asked what company is it that they are working for, he says it's called 1st Financial Partners. He gets offensive again, and says that I am not understanding what he was saying when I asked the reason again why am I being contacted about a grown man's case that has nothing to do with me. He also tries to verify the last 4 of my social which was totally incorrect. If this company was not a fraud, but legit company and if he was a real manager they would think not to give out any sensitive personal information at all. This guy then just totally stops speaking and wouldn't answer any more questions.

I received voicemails on my cell phone number and work number (don't know how they knew that) a few days ago from an "unavailable" number.  There was a voice recording that stated my name and told me I had to dial 844-500-7635 and reference the case # they gave to me.  They told me to talk to my representative, because it had to do with legal matters.  Today, my son received a phone call from them on his cell phone number.  They stated they were looking for me to serve a subpoena.  How do these crooks get all of this information?  I have LifeLock and if they try to mess with me, they will be found out through LifeLock.

My grandmother received a call 2 weeks ago asking for me by my maiden name (which I haven't used in 8 years) when she said I didn't live there, they hung up. Today she got a voicemail asklng for me by my maiden name again to call them within 24 hours that they are with Legal Support Services trying to delivery my documents for a case # and to call them at 844-500-7635. Yep, I'm pretty sure this is a scam.

Tom A. Legal Process / Collector
I received a voicemail today from a woman supposedly representing Legal Support Services with the call back # 844-500-7635 (this is a cell phone by the way). Legal Support Services is a legitimate legal attorney service in the Los Angeles area and the business name is used in other states also. However, this call is a scammer who has the intent of bullying you into paying a debt or to scam financial information from you under threat of legal action.

I owned a legal service for 15 years. I never ever called a debtor/plaintiff to tell them that I needed to verify an address or financial info. I preferred to just show up an serve them the legal documents--SURPRISE YOU ARE SERVED! Why would I call and give you a warning so that you could try to evade my process service. I also worked as a debt collector for years (OK, so now you know I'm a jerk but at least I was an honest jerk). The FAIR DEBT COLLECTION ACT prohibits 3rd party disclosure---no voicemail messages because no guarantee that only the debtor can get the message. Though sometimes collectors do use heavy handed tactics. NO LAW REQUIRES YOU TO GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE TELEPHONE OR FILL OUT A SURVEY OR QUESTIONAIRE! HANG UP! DON'T CALL THE NUMBER (It verifies that there is a FISH {YOU} at the end of the line). You may have to get your number blocked for these scammers, if possible. HANG UP! They'll eventually give up to pursue other suckers.

They get information from public court records, sometimes available over the internet. So if you ever had any legal troubles in the past it may come back to haunt you! This is how they can sound so legitimate. This is a new wave of PHONE SCAMS along with the IRS TAX COLLECTION scam, the local POLICE / SHERIFF WE HAVE A WARRANT FOR YOUR ARREST unless you post bail via credit card, etc. scam. The FED's and local Law Enforcement can't stop these scammers any more than they can stop ROBOCALL MARKETING. It is a Tsunami Crime Wave, an inter-state / international game of WACK-A-MOLE! Remember, YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF THE PHONE CALL---YOU HAVE THE POWER TO HANG UP! Take it from a former legal process server and bill collector JUST HANG UP---No one ever went to jail for hanging up the phone on even a legitimate bill collector or a legitimate law enforcement officer. Legitimate legal and law enforcement will show up in person and will have legal papers and ID. EVEN THEN MAKE THEM SHOW IT! IF IN DOUBT KEEP YOUR DOOR LOCKED AND CALL 911.

Most likely a debt scamming operation.   No legitimate process server notifies you in advance that you are going to be served.  Ignore them and block their calls.

these are dumb [***] bill collectors trying to make contact to see if there is any assets for recovery.  its illegal what they are doing trying to pass themselves off as attys.  along with the threats.  a friend of mine got one of these idiots calling their house looking for his ex daughter in law.  these idiots have no idea how to go about the right way to do their job.  they are probably portfolio  [***].  Just remember if the past due bill is beyond the statue of limitations you dont ever want to make any kind of a payment it automatically revives the bill.  these creeps have been around for a long time.  in ohio its usuall roush and associates

The guy I spoke to (I thought I wrote his name down, but can't find it) was talking about a debt from 2009, and said papers would be served tomorrow (6/18/15) between noon and 4, pretty specific times considering they were trying to "confirm where I live", but they were already going to serve the papers.  So if I didn't live there any longer, then what?  They serve them to who ever lives at the address they have and hope they'll show up?  He offered me a settlement deal, etc...gave me the name of the company suing me.  I'll call them and see what's happening, but I'm not offering anything to these guys until they can prove they're legit.  By the way, the "company" First Financial Legal Division, doesn't even come up when I "Google" it.
