Claimed to be part of the Pittman law group which is a legitimate company.  When you called the number they are rude and threatened to take your home because they Say you owe Inca gas card.  Which I do not owe,basically trying to get money.  I contact the real Pittman law firm and they stated these people have been scamming people for the last two month's.

Call pretending to be from Pittman lawyers, call comes in as restricted but they gave number to call back, said she was a process server but could transfer upstairs to a lawyer who was handling case in litigation at county court
When I asked for more details like case number  at courthouse she said at first i should have received papers then no number because it was in process but now was my chance to present my side yo lawyer upstairs

Got a call from unknown today at 11:45 am today, saying I owed a Chevron/Texaco Gas Card.  Gave me the number to call back but wouldn't give a name of who was calling only that they were a process server like the person above AND gave me a "court case number".  They told me the case was a certain county/state and I told them I'd be happy to pay them AFTER speaking to a lawyer.  They said I had 2 hours to respond.  I said I will fu#8ing call them back when I'm good and ready.  Called the County they stated, NO case #, not even the right format for the state they claimed.  This place had ALL my private INFO social sec #, FULL NAME, crazy stuff.

Reported them to cops. Cop called the number and told me they couldn't hang up fast enough.  Calling FBI tomorrow.  I suggest you call the FBI too. This crossed state lines and that's a federal offense.

They messed with the WRONG one.

Received a call from a girl stating that she has been trying to summons me and she cannot give me anymore information and I asked her is this summons on behalf from? Couldnt tell many names and then finally she said court . I asked what court she said Texas, I said where? Shed said I cant give you any information you need to call 844-542-6160 your case is 2016-6426. Didn't even give me the city or county anything and hung up on me. I will be looking into this further but is definitely odd.

I received a voice message block number at 4:19 p.m. on 12/06/2016.  The caller said his name was David Cooper with the Process Service Dispatch department for the county I live in.  He advised me that I was named as a defendant in a law suit and I had been served for a court summons.  If I had any questions I should contact the issuing firm at 844-542-6160 and reference case number.

I was warned that a default judgment would be issued against me if I did not contact that number.
I looked up the number on the internet and found many scams associated with this number and the Pittman Law office.  I called the number on 12/07/2016 and was told I was talking to the Pittman Law office.  I hung up.

I also confirmed there are no pending cases against me, the county I live in to not issue summons over the phone, and they have a very specific case number that is referenced on a summons.

I called my county sheriff and registered a complaint on 12/07/16.

I got the same call.

First got a call from dispatcher sayiing they would be at my house in an hour but she could delay it while I called the lawyer. Called lawyer he said my husband had a court date pending for a Texaco.card we never had. He also said they were going to sue me too. I laughed and said I doubt it since we  never had a card. He then said  they can stop the process if I pay 3000.  I said I needed to talk to my husband which proceeded to tell me someone was on their wsy to my work. I laughed again and asked him what work since I am a stay at home mom....he hung up.

I had a girl call me on 12/6/17 telling me she's been unable to serve me a summons for court due to a negative bank account. I asked for details she said she can't give me any. She gave me the 844-542-6160 # and a case #. So obviously I called. The lady there got really nasty with me telling me she was going to garnish my wages if I didn't pay her $900. Then she puts me on hold and comes back and says $650. Then I'm on hold again and she says $500. I said NO WAY IN HELL!  So I called the bank where the supposed negative account was, filed a claim with their fraud department and I've notified my local police and notified all 3 credit bureaus. They of course have no record of any negative or even an existing account there!! This is insane!

Pretty much they use the same protocol, court order for a credit card never had! He said the balance was 1200.00 plus court cost but they could settle if I pay at that moment $700.00 from a checking or credit card account. I told them that that call wasn't legit and hang up. Called court house in my area to report the problem and the secretary sent me this link. She was familiar with the situation due to several similar complaints.

These people called my place of employment. I wasn't there when they called but my boss gave me a note the next day I worked with the phone number (844-542-6160), a case # and the message that they "needed my signature on forms" and that the phone number they had for me didn't work. I told my boss that it was definitely a scam as the ONLY time I ever give out our work # is on my medical file.

I got a message on left on my cell phone and left a message with my co-worker today to say call 844-542-6160 case #2016-64010 and said I could miss a court date and then be a warrant issued.  I never give out my work number so not sure how they would get that.

My Mom received a call (12/7/16) from an "UNKNOWN" number and she would not anwser it.  She found it odd that they left a message for me that said that they had tried to serve me a summons but were unsuccessful and if I did not call the number (844-542-6160) and reference the case# they would issue a bench warrant.  That I was to considered this message as "being served".  They called her back today (12/8/16) "UNKNOWN" and she anwsered.  She informed them that they could not reach Melanie D. at this number.  They asked her to give me a message that they would issued a bench warrant to her place of work unless she called them.  As my Mom was relaying to the message, they called me.  I then called the 844-542-6160.  They anwserer "litagation".  The attorney's names was Bigsley.  He was very rude.  I just laughed at him.  He said that I had until today to pay $1700 or I would pay that and court fees if they had to take me to court.  This is crazy!

Received Phone call from "Unknown" number, woman left Voicemail for me stating a "process server" has been unable to serve a summons and I am now in jeopardy of having a bench warrant put out for me... Stated to call 844-542-6160 and gave case #. I did call the number, a man answered the phone as "Pittman Law this is Jack", I hung up.....

Left message from a restricted number ....left number 844 542 6160 to call back,  said if I didn't they would serve a bench warrant.  Case number 2016-64474. Also called my ex girlfriend from 6 years ago saying she needed to tell me I was going to be arrested.

I called that number.  Guy answered saying "Pittman Law".  I then asked
for Sherman Law and they guy verified that "Sherman Law" was upstairs
and he could "transfer" the call.  Told him that it wasn't' necessary  since
they were both the same firms.  This is just another variety of the Sherman Law scam.

My elderly mother got a call from these people saying she owed some money back in 2006 and just now serving papers and have a court summons against her. They said they will send her money if she will send them some now and give them her account number and credit card information. My mother is laid up with a broken foot. She also has a bad heart and any drama can cause her to have a heart attack. She said she will look up into this to them and said they should talk to her husband and they quickly hung up. They gave her this number. They said they were a lawyer. Police serve the papers in person and they have to go through steps to get the papers in the first place. If something happens to mom about this, I assure you the police will be getting a hold of some people. This is a scam and not a funny one to pull on an elderly woman.
