I received a recorded message from 844-606-6287 stating that I was to be served with a subpoena at my home or place of work within the next 24 hours. I didn't know that anyone was having an issue with me.

These are scammers!

Just received the message stating legal papers for a court action being taken against me?  Stated have 2 forms of ID's available at my home within the next 24 hours or at my place of employement..... a supervisor could also sign on my behalf?  Really?  Hmmmm wonder if my supervisor has my 2 ID's Needed ? No business name given just a phone # of 844-606-6287 with No name to ask to speak to if I did call?????

Just had a call  telling me  a summons would be getting  delivered in the next 24 hours with pretty much the same info as already posted by Punkin. They left  the number 844-606-6287 which I called to clarify they had the wrong number.   It ended up in some weird re-directed call with a Brit.  Got abused, sworn at and called a liar so I went mad back at them. Not sure if I made a bad move calling the number back or not. I'd never heard of 844 numbers until today and will be hanging up on any such future calls.

Got a call from this number today also. Returned the call and some"rude" female who identifies herself as Kimberly West answered. States that I am being rude and clearly did not need her help and to have a good day when I queried her as to what this summon was about. She clearly had my social as she used it for "security reasons" verification. She stated that this was a summons for a Chase Manhattan MasterCard.....which I have never had and do not have any credit cards at this time.
Interestingly, approximately 10 minutes later I received a phone call, identified on my phone as "No Caller ID" and a gentleman identifying himself as "Michael Allen" , attorney for WAG and states he is returning my call re a complaint and rude behavior by one of his employees at his office. When asked what office he is calling from he states it is "Western Acquisition Group". Online search reveals that this is a credit collection scam and victims are advised to file a complaint/report with the FTC. And I am not located in PA or MI but in CA. So I would like to see how indeed all these summons are going to be served in the next 24 hours.
Additional research reveals that this same scam was shut down by the FTC in Corona, CA in 2011.

Different caller same message script threatening with summons. These people are bottom feeders and probably purchased old debt and don't care who they call. The caller never states "who" they  are calling. These people needed to be arrested and given a hefty fine. You can't track the numbers they call from-beware and don't respond.

I got the same call on 10/23/14 and VM was partially cutoff but its not the first time I got this call.  Last time I called back and made sure they had my address and said I would be waiting for them and if nobody showed up I will file a harrassment charge against them.  Not a peep for almost a year until now.  I don't think it's legal to threaten an action like that and then nothing happen.  Nobody ever showed up and called back again the next day and they said they would be sending someone...nobody ever showed up.  If they want a threaten that its possible a court summons would be next that's probably legal.  But to say they have one in hand and are going to serve it is probably not legal.  When I did some research on the debt in question it was also Chase from 2003 which is now over 10yrs old and not on my credit anymore.  Its way past the statute of limitations for any legal action which is 4yrs in TX.  If creditor doesn't do anything before then their only recourse is to sell debt to collector or try and get a vacated judgment against you for not showing up in court.  If they did or tried, it would get thrown out if you showed up in court.  I work in the mtg biz and I help customers with their credit.  I just had a client who did just that and creditor dropped suit b/c he showed.  The other 9 cases with the same creditor didn't show up and they got judgments on credit and now have to pay that debt.

Called back talke to a tony bain he said back in 2002 I had American eagle card and owed 1700.00 and I seemed like a noce gorl so he got it lowered to 501.00 and if I can pay something on it he would give me til next week so that way they didnt sent papers to harding county and I het served. This is a scam

I also received the same message. I called back and the lady was extremely rude! Said i owe money from 2005 and they have documents downstairs waiting to be sent out. But said i could pay less if I just paid it over the phone. I said i will not pay you money unless i get documents in the mail. She needed my address. I told her she should know my address if she is filing a claim against me. She said some bogus address that I have never lived at then started to yell at me so I hung up. These people need to stop harassing me. Its getting very annoying !

I received the same phone call too.  I didn't answer.  I listened to the voice mail.  The person's name was Christopher O'Conner with Legal Caring Services.  I was also told that I would receive a summons within the next 24 hours.  My husband called them back and spoke to a Debra Smith.  She told him that they were named the Western Group.  He asked her where they were located and she told him in Albany New York.  My husband then asked for a list of the attorneys from their firm and she put him on hold.   Actually she hung up on him the first time.  He called back.  She then put him on hold.   We are going to block the number if possible.  We live in the Chicago area.  This is harassment.

Stating there was a court summons and needed to call with info. Plus two forms of id at time of serving. I confirmed it was me but nothing further. The lady was very rude and no one calls for a summons they just serve you . It would be nice if the ftc would clamp down on all scammers extremely hard.

"Who" the heck gives you a heads up that you're going to be served court papers ???? Really !!!
Joke, just bottomfeeders who buy out dated "Charge-Offs" for pennies on the dollar, in hopes of making as much as possible.

I got the same message myself today.  The caller stated that his name is Michael West with legal carrying services and that he needed to come to my home or place of work within the next 24 hours.  The same as many said above.  Two forms of ID and a supervisor needs to be available if he comes to my work so that he/she can sign off as a witness.

There is no reason that I would be getting summoned to court so I knew this was a total SCAM.  I'm glad that I Googled the number and found this forum on here with many folks having the same problem.  Please don't be fooled and call these people back.  Pretty sure you don't get called for a court summons, not that I've ever heard of anyways, and when you don't even state my name in the voicemail when it has to do with a summons...that just has fraud written all over it!
