- K| 4 repliesClaiming to summons me in court. And want me to verify my last four digit SSN. They're not getting nothing. I don't know who they are. When being summons, they don't need to call the sheriff will just show up at your house. Trying to be slick.

- HannahP replies to HannahPAlso said it was my final warning of whatever matter it is but never called me in the first place. Right-O, scam!
- JB replies to KDid they tell you who they are? I am calling them in the morning and letting them know that I have contacted an attorney and they have to provide me with written proof as well as their information. Summons are never called on beforehand, otherwise, the person receiving that summons has the chance to avoid being served along with any of their family members. Additionally, attorneys advise that you never pay for something that cannot be proven or taken to your own attorney for validity. Ask the following if contacted: their name, the name of their firm, the debt and the amount owed, the claim in writing and the date of the debt. Otherwise they can pay to have you served.
- K replies to KGot the same call, I asked address and was told can't give that out.

- David| 2 repliesI just got this call too from Elaine Perkins saying I owe money on a pay day loan and that charges are being brought up against me. They did this same thing to me last year around the same time and would not stop calling for months. I had to contact the police and now they are starting again. I told the lady that I know they are a scam company and I insisted that I have never been provided any paperwork on this so called loan. Ironically they say they have been and the address they provided was somewhere that I haven't lived in years. Plus any mail that would go to that address would have been forwarded to my current address so I know its all lies. In addition I told them if I owed on any loan that it would show up in my credit report and they said pay day loans do not. Umm hello your threatening me with going to court but your telling me this loan wouldn't be on my credit score?. I remember block buster sent me to collections for a video I forgot was never returned and that was reported on my credit report.

- MichaeleThey called my HR dept looking for me! I called back. Said I took a payday loan that I refused to pay. Knew my employer, last four of social security number and who I banked with. When I said I knew they were a scam he said good luck in court and hung up!
- C.R.Has called multiple times asking for a man that I have no idea who he is. message says that they have a delivery for him and he just needs to pay for shipping. I have called back several times to tell them to put my # on do not call list. Female was ugly. Said I needed to get a job. Really you're a scammer! Called back and got a Gordon on the phone. Again told them don't call me. Added them to auto reject list
- Caller: Unknown female then Gordon
- MI am getting calls from John Anderson. I answered this time and told him I don't know him. He wouldn't tell me what the "debt" was other than bad checks. Funny, I rarely write checks and so I called my bank.... they said I was fine... no issues. I placed a complaint with attorney general and ftc. They call 2 or 3x day. I also called back and asked name of company... Peamont or piedmont. I asked lady to spell it and shesaid" you can't spell?" No one who has a business would allow such talk.
- Babs replies to David| 1 replySame exact thing just happened to me. Calling my mom, my in-laws, my old employer. Very embarrassing. I kept asking for documentation but they tell me to set up payments and then they will send me something via email. Every time I call and ask questions they either hang up on me or tell me if I don't cooperate they will just summons me. People are relentless. Why isn't there anything anyone can do?

Hello my name is Elaine Perkins. We received a fax order for delivery to the address on record. Please return my calls as soon as possible for proper delivery of this documents regarding this matter. This is your final attempt too.- Caller: fraud
- BigA replies to AnnoyedCriminals masquerading as debt collectors attempt to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged (they use the bad check or hot check claim a lot) and go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished without actually being sued or going to court, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money. They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer). Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them. Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.

- DCGot the same call from Elaine Perkins, who tried the same tactic last year. And they also somehow got my sisters number and called and threatened to have me locked up if I did not return their call. I do not answer, nor do I respond in any way. They are very unscrupulous scam artists.
