I have received numerous phone calls from this number, I answered it only once, they tried to convince me that I would be arrested if I did not give a satisfying response to the question, I informed this particular person that if he held on for a minute, I could get my attorney on a conference call, they hung up, but they still call, all hours of day and night

FTC filed suit against Direct TV in March, 2015 for a couple of million dollars over this stuff.

Got a call from this number, didn't answer. They left a message so I thought it might be legit. It was a mechinal voice, said he was from Dish, needed to speak with Missy McDonald. Left a call back number. 1) we don't have dish 2) there is no one named that here, don't know any one named that.

Mine came from "DISH NETWORK" the man said. He stated he was looking for a "Michelle Seagle". I Don't know if I spelt that right. I told him he had the wrong number. He stated he didn't and that I must be Michelle then. Before I could correct him again, he talked over me about some random packages she was signed up for and needed a $2,000 payment immedatly. I told him again he had the wrong person again and chewed him out. He stated he would call the police to my house if I wasn't nicer to him. I told him to go to H*** and he was full of S*** and asked for a supervisor. He laughed and hung up. This has to be a scam of some kind. One, I don't have dish network. Two, I don't know any Michelle Seagle. Beware callers!

I received several calls from this phone number but don't answer it. I return the call and it sound occupied. I don't seem to understand the reason for the call because I talk early with Dish Network and told everything will be OK. I just search the number and came this explanation. Now I'm not going to take the call.

So thankful for you guys. I keep getting calls from this number at alllllll hours. I mean like 3 a.m.. Really? It's very disturbing to be woken up in the middle of the night especially when it's some foreign speaking person trying to sell you something from DISH NETWORK!  Since finding out from you guys who  this number is I've blocked it but they just call from another number and so forth and so on. Ridiculous!

its just dish network. they weren't rude to me. They stated who they were trying to contact and I said that this was my number and I would contact that person to reach them. The man stated he would remove my number from the customers file, gave me the 800 number. No problems at all. I am a telemarketer and just a sound piece of advice. First call you receive ask NICELY to speak to a supervisor, and asked to be added to the GLOBAL DO NOT CALL LIST. This will entitle the company to remove you from all lists they may have. Simply stating to a rep to be out on a dnc list just moves you to another list within that company. REMEMBER: COURTESY AND GLOBAL DO NOT CALL LIST. Telemarketers are people too, and although a lot of people hate telemarketers, we hate being one just as much. It is a real job, pays good, for those of us who need flexible schedules so we can attend college. We deal with sad stories all day, rude people when we are not being rude, and it is simple. You don't want to be called...that is fine. You need to know how to not get called again. GLOBAL DNC.

Don't have Dish service stop billing for service not rendered..

For about a week, I was getting this phone call every other day.  I ignored the calls because it wasn't a familiar number, but they left a voicemail, stating the message was for a "Cheryl".  I let it go thinking the message was just a mistake because I'm not Cheryl and I don't Dish.  The calls continued.

I figured "Cheryl" incorrectly provided my phone number when she signed up, so I decided to call to get my number removed.  They "transferred" me to someone that could help after I explained what was going on, we got disconnected.

I figured after being disconnected, they had enough information and would remove me, but I got another call today.  I called back and requested that my number be removed from this account.  The woman stated she would have me removed and hung up - so obviously, the first call wasn't disconnected...I was hung up on.

This is obviously some sort of scam trying to get money out of current Dish Network customers.  I went ahead and just had the number blocked.

Recording said it was Dish Network and needed a credit card number to  clear up a $327.00 balance.  I DON'T have a $327.00 balance.  I called Dish and they said it wasn't them
