My son received a call from this number stating I had  lawsuit against me for a loan someone tookout, placed the funds in my account an the defaulted on the loan back in 2011.  I never did any transaction like that in my life.  I am amazed at how these scam people come up with this stuff.  The rep was very loud, anger and must have thought he was scaring someone.  He hang up after I would not listen to his bull.

Good company to stay away from.

A message - no mention of the company - that there was action against me and to call to resolve. Again, no mention of the company.  If - and this is a big if - you are going to be served, no one will call to tell you where and when.

they called and said that I committed wired fraud, and that I took a loan out in 2011, threating a law suit against me for the loan payment back. His name was chris bearick. he claims that they want the company he is calling about what to sue over a or around 500 dollars.

We have received calls from a chris varick refused to give any information as to were his officw was or phone number or anything said we were all worthless he was rude obnoxious

I answered my phone at work and Chris Beric (Verric?) said that I was going to be served for fraud by CMG on 6/16/2011- he said he knows I work at.... and said there was funds wired to my account and he has verification.  He said he has me recorded.  I told him that if I did and didn't know it, then I would pay, but something hit me wrong because he was being so forceful.  He said that Companies usually write these things off, but they knew I had a good job and could collect from me (?).....he know what bank and also had my email address.  However, I asked him to send me some documentation and I would review it and let him know.  He said that he wasn't going to do that and that after today, he was going to let them serve me for fraud and take me to court.  I told him that I don't just pay things that I don't know if it's real...he said that the deposit was for $250 and that I now owe $650.....I don't know what to do, I assume that if it's legit, I would get a letter or they should be able to supply me with written proof....and they weren't able to do this.  Very frustrating because I would pay it if it were a bill I owed, but I don't feel this is legit.  Plus, I see now thru various websites that this is happening to several different people.

Here's their BBB page with all their info, I suggest you read through it. There's already been government action on this company.   You should check your credit history also. Your entitled to a free report from each once a year.

If they are trying to collect a debt, then they must be licensed as a debt collection agency. Not just in their state, but as a ROT, in yours as well.  The threats are scare tactics and illegal.  They hope to scare you into paying something you may not owe. Neither phone, fax or email are legal proof you owe.

Based on the information I found here I submitted a claim with the BBB against Jacob Law Group. End result- the people calling from these phone numbers (844-628-3615 & 785-227-9403) are NOT with Jacob Law. I also spoke with the owner and is a very articulate, sincere professional in my opinion. He is a going through every possible avenue to find out who this is as he is receiving several similar complaints. I felt awful for filing the complaint based on info I found here as many others have done and trying to help spare the man additional inconvenience.

Calls from this number (844-628-3615) are not coming from Jacob Law Group.  If you receive calls from this number and the person claims to be associated with Jacob Law Group, please contact me at 662-238-2868.
