This # is from a South Dakota address.  I've never been to South Dakota.  Probably some debt collector.  Nothing legally serious.

SOme stupid message. To start with if you get a summons to appear you are not going to get an automated message

Same message as above .. I called the number from another phone and got an operator and then waited over 45 min I hung up. This is crazy and scary.

received a computerized call to call this number for a clerks office - called back and was put on hold - name of company NCG legal services??? very strange I am on do not call list

Debt collectors are exempt from using the DNC list.

my friend received call from this number to get to me. I called and this Matt Russell was rude and when I asked questions was hung up on. When I called back he treated me like a was felon. supposed summons for Chase Bank account I've never had!

Received a call from MCG Legal Services 844-628-7658 claiming a "felony complaint was pending against (me) for theft" by Chase Bank. When I advised him the debt had been legally discharged by bankruptcy last year and offered to give him my attorney's name he HUNG UP on me.

When I called him back (he would not give me his name) and asked him why he was calling me, he became verbally combative and told me I was "scum who did not pay (my) bills" then hung up again.

This guy is a joker and scammer who probably buys worthless "paper" (debts) then simply calls to see if he can (illegally) collect any money. I have turned the matter over to my attorney who said, "Don't worry about it".

Got a call from this number 844-554-0199 stating I had an old debt from Chase Bank and that they were getting ready to prosecute me for theft and embezzlement unless I settled the debt today.  Message stated to call a different number 1-844-628-7658.  This number rang to the Lead Investigator,  Matt Russell, who informed me that I was going to be prosecuted for failure to comply.  He gave the name of MRL Law Firm out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.  He stated the claim was given to him by RFL Holdings (Not Chase Bank).  Guess what, couldn't find any information on either company.  I called my State's Attorney General's office and they have established a file for this company.

Received voice mail from Mat Russell-Legal Council stating that it was an advance notice of a legal summons that would be served against me if I did not contact the Clerk of the Court within 24 hours to avoid criminal or civil proceedings against me. All I had to do was to call. Poor guy was lonely I guess.

Received a voicemail saying,  "This a 24 hour notice of service of summons to be released to your place of employment or residence. To eliminate all formal proceedings, contact the Clerk's Office at 1-844-628-7658.  Failure to comply will result in either civil or criminal penalties."  When I called the number back I spoke with a Matt Russell who informed me I owed $11,000 to a bank that I have never heard of.  The name of the bank sounded legit since it was a County I lived in 3 years ago. When I told this guy I was not giving out any information over the phone but I would be glad to have my attorney call him, he hung up on me.  When I tried to call back, there was no answer.

I was totally freaked out and my imagination went wild until I saw these posts!!  These calls are ABUSIVE and need to be STOPPED!!

I too received a message on my machine to call 844-628-7658 due to pending litigation and possible criminal proceedings and when I did they put me thru to that guy Matt. He proceeded to tell me details regarding my husband which is against the law. He said that my husband owed Washington mutual for an unpaid debt. I guess he got lucky because my husband did have a debt that was settled over 5 yrs ago and when I told him the debt was settled and I had the written proof he said that it didn't matter and he could collect on it anyway. I told him that could never happen and he hung up on me. I called him back and asked him what kind of lawyer would be unprofessional enough to hang up on someone and he hung up again lol....I guess he didn't want the money that bad. I googled this MCG Legal services and they and Matt are an Australian based company. I don't even believe they could even practice law in this country anyway unless they are legal residence. I think this is a scam but in the event that it's not I am going to make sure I file a complaint against them anyway and call the prior debtor to make sure they didn't have any connection to this loser.

They now ID themselves as MCG Legal Services.  Straight out debt scamming operation.  They call from different numbers.  Usually start off by telling you you are going to be prosecuted for something-or-another and to call back a certain number.  This Matt Russell also appears on 800notes as representing  DM and Associates and Law office of Drake and McKannon.  Same MO, threats of prosecution or pending litigation all set up to scare you .   Sounds like theymight be New York  debt scammers.  Buffalo Bullys.

Turned over with complaint to Commonwealth Attorney General's office..

This guy named Matt just called said I owed a debt to Washington Mutual which I never banked or had a card with saying I had to pay or go to court. Wouldn't give me any information about the debt or anything.. Sure seems like a scam to me..

Just got the threatening voice mail, freaked me out for a sec. I'm glad I checked here before calling back.
