Told that there was a claim which required an address or place of employment to be served. The call said it served as an official notice.

This Tim Baker keeps calling my cell telling me he has a document to serve me. Well serve me then! Since he states he has everything, the Police where I filed a report against this phone number and the other 844-647-7511 number. Scam artist are a dime a dozen and he's one of the faceless idiots out there. By the way, you can hear his kids playing in the background, hint hint not professional!

A Jake Andrews is calling my family as well telling them he is a personal locator.  Needs my address to serve papers, yet when he leaves messages on my cell, he has my address.

A bunch of idiots with an illegal talk off and full of crap Private locator message. They left a message on my voice mail. My voice is very deep and yet, the idiot that called me was looking a Amber Lovelace. After his initial stupid talk off, he speant the rest of the message saying LINDA Lovelace. What a fool. Count not even keep his mind on the debt for one minute. What a loser!

I received a voicemail from a female caller. She asked for an address and phone number or place of employment. Then said if I don't contact her she would contact my employer. I thought if you know my employer why would you have to ask me for that information? She also left no business name. I didn't find it to be official or professional.

my family and i have received numerous calls from a Claire Fischer from a company called DOR stating they had papers to serve me, they called my in laws and my mom. They were saying that they needed to serve me with papers. I called the local police department and they ran the number and it was a SCAM number.

Filed a complaint with the States Attorney's Office (Maryland). Told me that they couldn't do anything because in order to send them a cease and desist letter or call and demand to stop calling, there is no mailing address. Plus since they move all of the time and change their #'s often, they couldn't do anything. She just suggested to keep telling them they have been reported to the State and either not take the call or hang up on them. They are a scam company. Remember, if they were a real collection company, you will get a bill at your mailing address.

They told me the same thing, they called and called and wanted to verify my address so they could serve me.

What I learned: if you are going to be sued for a loan, then (in the State of Maryland) they file a case in the county/city you live. I live in Baltimore County. So they go to civil court, file a case, then the court issues a summons. That in turn will be served to you either by the Sheriff or a court appointed server. In MD, you can go to Maryland Case Search Judiciary and look up your name & see what activity is there. I am sure all States are this way since both civil & district court cases are considered public information. If you don't see a case #, then it has not been filed. I also have learned that calls like this are bogus. There is a way to make a call and it processes it through a local # so you think they are really calling for you from the area you live --- when in reality they are probably from New York or Chicago (if they sound American), New Dehli (if they sound foreign). They'll give you some speech about how you have been officially notified. What I did to help them stop calling: Tell them you are here all day and come out and serve you (if at work). They will probably say, I'll be there in 40 mins, then says, sounds good! They may then switch and say well, for privacy, I don't want to serve you at work, how about home? Tell them, ok, I'll be here all day. Trust me, they aren't coming. I read from the Federal Trade Commission that over $2,000,000 (million) dollars were paid to bogus pay day/loan collection companies. Just like any other bill, Visa bill, doctor collection bill, etc, if they are a real loan company, they can print and mail a statement, period. No statement, no remittance address, no breakdown of charges, no money. It has worked since 03/31/2014. I was told that unfortunately, once you are on a list, they are going to keep calling off and on. It could be a month from now, or 6 months from now. Best advice is if you don't know the #, let it go to voicemail.

Got a phone saying I have been officially served I've learned from a lot of reviews that these people are scam artists just to make money and try to threaten you just to get the money.
