    Received a snail-mall letter from an unknown company...Told me I was "going to receive an AndroidTM Touchpad Tablet from" their "gifting department, a no charge." Anyway, this number is listed in the letter. There is no company name, no person's name, just an illegible sender. I'm guessing it's some sort of scam. Also, the letterhead says "Authentic Gift Delivery Notification - Tempe", so it could be local to the Phoenix area. Now you know!

    This seems typical of how Direct Buy operates.  It could also be a vacation club or timeshare. In any event, the "free tablet" is just a lure to get you to attend some sort of high pressure sales presentation on whatever they are hawking.  If you call, they will likely ask you questions on age, marital status and annual salary and then renege on the gift if you do not meet their criteria for a sales prospect.
