Con artists saying that there are going to be criminal charges brought against me for a pay day loan in 2008 from a company I've never heard of report them to the FTC

Said it was Richard Burns from the law offices of APR & Associates.  Thought I was Thomas Lynn Sr., and was looking for a Miss Ryan Miller.  Said to call Burns back at 844-695-5369.  This is a toll-free number - so I'm calling bullsh*t on this.

Call showed up as UNKNOWN on my cell... so if they're not willing to properly identify themselves I'm sure they're not legitimate.

This company called American Portfolio Recovery, Inc. contacted me on a Payday Loan. Told my son and myself that charges will be brought against me if I didn't pay it. I asked them to prove themselves that this wasn't a scam. They said I went online and took out the loan and had it deposited into my bank account. After contacting my bank, there were no deposits other than the ones I did. This lady that contacted me was Miss Washington. She claims to record you and insists you pay with a pre-paid card or a debit card. I do believe this is a scam and going to report it to the Attorney General's office. If you get a call from 1-844-695-5369, report it to your local law agencies.

Someone called and left a message saying they were from a law office.  They were looking for someone I had never heard of.  They were very rude when I tried to tell them they had the wrong number.  It is a scam.

This phone just called my work !!! And told my coworker she didnt want to state the reason for her call cause she didnt want to embarres me. ! Wtf u just did. Anyhow. 5 mins later I get a forwarded voicemail from my friend with a voicemail left on her phone for me ! Idk who this lady is but she is gonna hear me when i call her to demand her to send me something in writting. I payed off my loan last year.

They said they were hotmail tech support and got access into my computer and then said I owe $200!!! Please beware!!!

Did anything happen with this? The same thing just happened to us and we're freaking out and changing all of our passwords.. did everything turn out okay for you?
