That CRA scam  is so convincing i almost believed it / don't fall for it, ask them  for your SIN number to verify
They  are called Black Mamba

Individual left message on my home phone today and directed me to call this number.  Message stated that my CRA account was in arrears and an arrest warrant had been issued.  Pretty creepy!  This is the second round of calls of this nature; this one's definitely stepping up the threat level.

A message was left on my home phone today, telling that "a lawsuit has been filing against me from Internal Revenue Services " and "arrest warranty has been issued". They left this telephone number for more information... I'm tired with all those scammers already:(( My previous "arrest warranty" was issued from "immigration office":))

I just received the same message sometime today.  I live in Ontario, are other recipients in this province?  Mine left the same phone number with an 844 area code, there was no answer when i called back

I have received calls twice from this number,   The caller says it's the IRS calling.   We don't have IRS in Canada and I don't have any connection to the IRS in the US

Says there is a law suit against me and an arrest warrant has been issued.

This is not the first time we've had this call.  They call at least once a month for the last 3 or 4 months.  We are seniors and do not have a lot.  Telling us that there was an arrest warrant out for us really scared and worried us.  I'm just glad that we never did talk to them.

Had a voicemail, beginning was cut off but told to call 844 765 3872.

I tried to call the number but it wasn't recognized.

The message said that it was the Internal Revenue Service. I live in Canada. The voice told me to have a good day. This is the second time I have had a bogus call. The first was from the CRA. Can't anything be done to stop these people? My husband and I had a good laugh.

It was a computer generated voice telling me there was a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion. This is the second call although the first was a different number. I live in Saskatchewan.

Well I got the call from CRA so I called them back at 1 844 765 3872 gave them phony info turn out I owed 1300. so I called him f face he hung up. so now I call about ten time's a day to tie up their scam line. I hope we can have more of us tie up their line, so give them a call and have some fun with them

This is the second time I have had a call from this number, the message was left on the answering machine,  saying it was Revenue Canada Agency and there was an arrest  warrant out for me, I don' t know how you stop these scammers, but I don't pay any attention to them..

Today, I had a message left on my phone, start was unclear . The clear part of message said call us on  844-765-3872 now! Called twice and said it is Revenue agency. wanted my home phone number and SIN to verify identity. I said I won.t give those info on the phone I do not know. They had Indian accent. Before I received many scam calls for winning cruise, hotel, ..... almost always Indian accent people.

Recieved a call from Daniel Marty. Saying I owed the CRA $1800. He was very agressive and wanted me to solve the payment over the phone. I gave him my nickname not my legal name. I assume that the real CRA knows real names. That is when I realized it was a scam. Hope this report helps.

DO NOT CALL this 1-844 number. It is a Toll-free number and call blocking (like *67) will not work, since the SCAMMERS are paying for the call. They can still see your phone number on their call display. All what will happen if you call back is more telephone mayhem (or worse), since you're going to be placed on their Sucker List.

If you want to have some fun with these fraudsters, call this 1-844 number from an untraceable payphone (Toll-free numbers are free calls from payphones and the owner of the toll-free number pays the charges).

I just got a message on my voice mail with the beginning cut off but 1-844-765-3872 was the number that was left as a call back. 000-022-5247 was what was on my caller ID. I know we'll probably never be able to stop these a**holes from calling but these forums really help. Thanks!

Got that message in the summer ( and again today) and when I called they were very convincing and I am an accountant so know that CRA does not operate that way but they were good. Told me to have my lawyer meet me at my house where the arresting officer would meet us and take me to jail as an arrest warrant had been sworn out in my name. They also said I could settle it by going to the nearest payment office to pay my bill of about $1200. When I asked for fun where that was I was told Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I live in Calgary. When I pointed out that it made no sense for me to pay my Cdn tax bill in the US they quickly hung up and presumably checked their atlas. Bunch of creeps, they probably suck in some unsuspecting souls, but it is a total scam.

Has anyone reported this? CRA calling / arrest warrant issued / and "Have a great day! Really idiotic.

Recorded message to say a legal case has been filed against me and a warrant issued for my arrest.

Had a call this morning September 3, 2015 from 844-765-3872 saying I had a warrant for my arrest. I want to press charges against the person with this number. I'm sick and tired of these scams. This is called harassment and threats. When will the law step in to put a stop to this?

Is there not a way for their phone call service provider to cancel their service?
