Don't call back!! it's some kind off scam!!! Sometimes people try to collect on old debt, that they've bought for pennies on the dollar! Sitting in their basement trying to get money out of you. Even if they are a real debt agency, don't verify anything!!! Turn it around and ask them questions!! Who are you, Whats your address, What's your company name.

What wonderful information from an uniformed hunting and gathering fool of a professional debtor.
Old debt, basement, the dumbing down to the point of pond scum to talk to such a dumbass is pointless.
Find an attny and see what happens i promise you it will not turn out good for you to listen to this unemployed useless eater.

Totally a scam. Block the number and don't call back. Companies like this put trolls out to try to add creedance to the claim it is a scam. Ignore them as it is a scam.

Got the message today on our home phone.  Am not calling back.  If it's official, we will get something in the mail as well.  They didn't say our name, address, etc. so no doubt that they are out to trick you.

Same exact wording as jg on March 31 2014, but it wasn't a recording, sounded like a recording bc it is a rehearsed speech. No name, no co name, not even who they were calling for. I'm going to the police.

Don't call this number 844-767-5836 it is a scam! They left a message saying I need to call back it is about an malicious matter. I didn't leave their name, business name, they didn't know my first and last name! So please be carefull!

Another scam by some idiot. I received this call yesterday and not going to call back for sure. Very annoying!!

Same as above. Do not  reply. Guys like this,lets just say it, need to have a bullet placed dead center between the eyes.

Thanks I got this at work n have been freaking out, only because some chicks name randomly pops up on my credit her social is 1 number off of mine n we have the same first name, n born the same year n month

got the same message as sid. I blocked my number and called it back and the recording had no company name and said leave a detailed message and we will call you back so I hung up SCAM is all I can say

I received a message on my answering machine today at 4:47pm.  The beginning of the message was cut off.  The part I heard said, ".... has now been named as a respondent.  Your information has returned back during an investigation in regards  to a decision for malicious intent to  (?)  a check systems case to be filed against you.  To avoid further actions please contact our offices immediately   I can be reached direct at 844-767-8536.  Again that's 844-767-8536.  Under no circumstances should you underestimate the importance of a return phone call."

I get a call from this # about 5x a week. They leave the same msg that I've read from other posters here. I get calls for 3 other people from bill collectors. I don't know why these people use my # but I continually tell them to remove my # from the list bc it's a wrong #. I've had my # for probably 7 years now and refuse to change it because so many people know it. I'm assuming this call is for one of them. I'm not calling back. If it were for me, my address is easy to find and they should mail me an official letter or something. These just seems fishy for sure. Just tired of getting this call so many times a week though.

I received the same message from that # and another co, they keep leaving harassing messages about some guy named Steven T? I keep calling them and telling them in not so nice terms to take my # out of their system.....they say they do, I still keep getting calls....this has been going on for at least a year..... UGH!!!

Had this number pop up on my computer with a female voice.  When I did more research it appears to be a SCAM.

I got a message just like this from an unknown number that gave a relatives name and said this was his notification and if he did not call back 1-844-767-2799 there would be further action taken. I will not be calling back, but they appear to be somehow connecting distant relatives names to get people more likely to call back.

Someone from this number called my former office and told the girl at the office they have a case against me, gave her the case number!  If I am not mistaken, they are not supposed to give out that information to anyone other than me.  This person also called my 1st husband that I haven't been married to in over 40 years!  The person who called gave his name as Josh Warren.

Ask for their first and last name, id #, company name and address,  phone number.  Legal case numbers have the year they are filed in the case number.  No cases ever have any part of the ssn (my "case number" did.  They can't serve you or put you on notice via telephone and certainly can't put you on notice by contacting 3rd parties.  This is a scam.  Report it to your state attorney general.
