man also named Ray Jackson states he is from t "the law firm" how original and that he will serve summons papers on you. I asked which county it ws filed in and he told me they were filing tomorrow, in order to summon someone you have to already have a date...this guy should educate himself on the legal system before he tries to pretend to be a manner of the law...he does sound ghetto too and no law firm will deny you their credentials like this guy did, he tried to tell me I had 25 minutes to pay him 1800.00 or he was taking me to court....ok let me whip out my card and give you my info when you fail to provide credentials NOT....He is aggressive to the point my place of business is looking into persuing harassment charges on my behalf, as he has called my work number sevreal times and been told on a recorded line not to call back and that we do not tolerate these solitatitions.

The day before Valentines Day a fellow associate at work texted me and said that a lady by the name of Carmen Medina at 844-803-0396 called our work asking for me and when she told them I had already gone home, she gave her a case number and said that they were wanting to serve me with summons papers.  She said to tell me that they would serve me the next day, (Valentines Day) at my home.  Then about an hour later my little brother called me who lives in another town and said he got the same phone call on his cell phone, but he did not answer.  They left the same phone number and case number.  Nothing ever came of it, but then today, 3 days later, my boss calls me into the office at work and says the same thing, but that they are going to serve me papers tomorrow at work.  I told them to bring it on, to let me know when they arrive because it's a scam. People beware of these 844 area code numbers.  Do your homework and look it all up online.  Don't let them get to you! Besides being a scam, it's illegal to do what they are doing at my job and the police there are being informed.

This a scam number they told me tge samething when i answered my phone a lady stated that it was the los angeles county calling me and then i asked what department of la county was she calling from...then she. Told me a she was calling grom some filing office in la couty......i ask her for more info and she refused to give me any o.fo all she said. Was that ahe had a court. Paper for me...i call the la Sheriff s depppartment to report This number.. its a scam,

This "process server" named "Kelly Anderson"  with Spokane County Process servers stated I was being served because I was being sued by an unamed party, and wanted to see if I would be home to be served. (That's a new one!) this has been going on since right before Thanksgiving 2014.  They've called my mother, my nephew, my wife, and myself. This last call, I was waiting for them to ask me for money, but when I asked them why the number popped up as a Kenewick,Wa if they were in Spokane and "click" she was gone. I have an attorney friend who investigated the situation and found the case# was a phony and so was everything else. We then googled the 844 number and it led us to this website forum. Good luck guys, they're persistent! Keep track of all calls, messages, voicemails, etc.. And make a police report. We need to shut them down!!!!

A guy named Make Lane called me from 702-514-3636 to "schedule" a time for him to serve me a summons. I asked him what its about and said you are being sued. I told him, thats funny I filed bk and your not to contact me and to contact my attorney. He replied "what's that gotta do with this" Irritated that he was being a jerk, I got the case # and call back # to find out what this is. Low and behold the guy who answered tells me he hasn't recieved anything from any atty and that I was lying. Told him I'd sue him for harrasment due to my bk rights. It's a scam. I told the guy I could here "Mike Lane" talking to someone else on the phone and that I'd have my attorney call him. As of this morning 2/25/15 My atty's office have not received a call from them.

Same guy called me today and threaten me I didn't know it was a scam until I googles this number once I found I called the business bureau in jackson ms and let them know what was going and they confirmed also that it was scam she told me that they call private sometimes or the hey call from different numbers and that he was not supposed to tell us he was gonna serve me papers he said it was a lawsuit being filed against lol thank god for google and you guys and business bureau in jackson ms bc I would've been out of 1700 dollars

She called yesterday I really thought I was about to have to pay I gave them a prepaid card number any everything he told me to call him at three o clock today but since it was scam they want here from me the ladi at the business bureau told me not to answer their calls

Been getting unwanted calls from this company claiming that I was being sued for 3000 but will settle for 1700 an that I had to pay 600 up front and after then it would be 250 dollars a month (844) 803-0396 that's the number they didn't give me the name of their company they just said I was being sued and they was gonna serve me papers

I just googled the phone # 844-803-0396 because this morning was the second time I was told to call this number do to me being sued, and having a Sherrif come out to serve me.  A few weeks ago I had a lady at this same phone # that tried nego. money from me so I didn't get sued.  I didn't recall any debt of this magnitude, so I told her to either mail or email me proof....nothing.  So after it happened again, I pulled up this page and saw numerous complaints with this same phone number/ story.   How do we not only stop, but prosecute these people????

Id themselves as Kagen Legal Services.   Unable to find any such company.  They also call from 888-749-4872.  See that number on 800notes.  Kagen Legal Services appears to be a phantom DBA of Western Portfolio Assets, a  registered California Corporation.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them .
