I got this number after I clicked on a Obama link on FB,all the sudden my computer wouldn't do anything and said to call this number , they got into my computer told me they were with micrsoft and it would be $199 to fix it. I told them no I would take it to Best Buy The message was saying this was a virus  and to call. Funny for a few weeks I've been getting calls telling me I needed to get on my computer and they already knew it had a virus and would help me fix it, but I haven't had a virus, very upsetting.

Compells users to call with fake virus warnings. I called and heard the voice of a foreigner. Do not call, most likely a scam.

This is a scam. Microsoft will NEVER initiate a call to you - that is their company policy.  And do you seriously think that Microsoft or any company on earth has the manpower to call back every user who has a virus on their computer? There are over 1.2 BILLION users of Windows in the world.  When the pop-up shows up, DO NOT CLICK on any button in any of the pop-up area. Hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE and bring up your Task Manager and kill the program(s). It may respawn, but keep selecting program in the Task Manager and the END PROGRAM until everything closes.

You know the call is a SCAM based on the East Cost accent of the Dip [***] robo calling message.
This scam is for a Loan, regardless of your credit standing - Ya that is a Loan shark taking to the Airways.
These guys are so cheap they have to steal someone else's SCAM phone #.

Company called itself Exclusive Advantages - And Indeed they will take advantage of you if you give them any information.

Total SCAM, either waste their time of don't bother picking up the phone.

I just received two simultaneous phone calls from (844) 809-5828, both from individuals with foreign accents. The first one to my cell was from Card Services (lower my interest rate) and the second to my land line from Microsoft (need to access your computer). I put them both on speaker phone so that they could exchange their best scamming trade secrets.

Got a robo-call about being pre-approved for a loan. I pressed 1 to learn the company's name. No one answered after 2 minutes so I hung up while hearing "your call is important to us."

Well I received over 20 calls within an hour, the number is not listed in any phone company so there is no way to call them back.  They are supposedly Microsoft Technical Support approaching you about viruses on your computer and wanting remote access to your computer while also speaking in broken English and other languages.  When questioning these scammers they can't answer where they are from and what they actually are doing.

They keep calling -- I keep ignoring.
Will eventually pick up when I am bored enough - see how long I can keep them on the phone before they realize I'm scamming them

I keep getting calls from this number  Sometimes I get them twice a day.  They call at least 5 times a week.  I have no idea who they are.  I don't answer the phone and when I check they don't leave a message.  It's very annoying.  And I'm on a DO NOT CALL LIST.  Can they do this?

This is a scam fake phone # in the caller ID. It is likely a number to go nowhere by a service that profits from these illegal calls. As I can see and have received many calls from fake Computer IT guys. This call was supposedly from some service to want to help me with my credit card. They try to make it a sense of urgency as they are giving one last chance before they close the file. First they don't have your file. They don't direct the call to anyone more than the person that answered. Clearly a spoofed caller ID since most are reporting computer tech scam calls and mine was a credit card scam.
