Got a call saying they were a collection agency called NRA and they would be at my house to serve me papers for some bounced from 3 yrs ago?????

you cant call that number back. i think it is bogus

They tracked me down through my mother. I foolishly called the number back and was told it was from an online payday loan from February 2011 with a form called Riverside Loan. Now I'll be the first to admit that I foolishly had taken out online payday loans in the past but I have all paperwork from loans that were taken, received, defaulted and/or paid during the timeframe they are suggesting.  I also have an inability to find said loan company as a physical store or online. They are now calling me endlessly from an unlisted number (which my phone blocks and sends to voicemail) threatening me with serving papers. I will be attending that court date I'd they serve me papers. They claim to be pre-litigation and claim they cannot provide anything. The threats and the inability to send me any proof of debt for validation of debt purposes screams scam to me. If the debt is valid, the debt collector has to by law provide you with validation of debt (original creditor, original date debt was incurred, and if possible any account number or other identifying information about the debt). You may need to ask for this in writing but they do have to provide it. Any debt collector not willing to provide said information does not have said information.

Did you get call from 8553251175? Saying their from Riverside/NRA something.
