I received several calls from this number on unknown and they finally called unblocked. The man on the phone was harassing me though I was clearly stating I was not who he was looking for. He was extremely rude and made me feel uncomfortable. I think anyone who gets these calls should go to the police it is clearly a scam.

This is a number for John Clayton. He is an attorney. It's not a debt collection company. Every time I call I speak to either him or his assistant. I'm not bounced around a board room. They are very professional. They kept me out of court after I had a car repossessed, mediating a deal I could live with, which kept a judgement from reflecting on my credit report. Why is it every call I've ever gotten from a debt collector or attorney's in that field, I look up the number and see all these disparaging comments about the company? I guess if you're a repossession company, it's the same deal. Nobody ever has anything nice to say about the services they provide. If 800 notes is any indication there are no good debt attorneys on this planet, or repo men. I guess it makes sense due to the industry there in.

Well first off Federal Courts have ruled that an attorney that collects debts is indeed a debt collector and subject to following the rules of the FDCPA.  So you are trying to tell us that you were in default on your car loan long enough to have the car repossessed.  Well as soon as you went into default that was reported by the lender to the credit bureau.  As soon as you had the car repossessed, that also was reported by the lender to the credit bureau.  At what point where you taken to court since that is the only way a judgement could have existed?  I mean you negotiated a deal after the car was repossessed for what, paying on a car you no longer have?

Why do you see all these disparaging remarks?  Because most if not all debt collectors violate the law in some way.  The real question is why are you looking up all these numbers every time you get a call like this?  Not paying your bills?  Professional deadbeat?  What services do they provide to the call recipients?  Pay us or else?  Not much of a service, the service is provided to the people that sent them the names in the first place, and that is only if they truly exist as many calls there is no bill or creditor but they are imaginary.  Much like your story.

Please come back to play another day, I need to have a good laugh every now and again.

Got a call from a process server saying he had paperwork to deliver to my daughter. He said he didnt know what the issue was about but gave me this number to filing party. It turned out there were some medical bills our insurance hadn't covered, Thanks Obama Care. Spoke to Matt at jc consultants. Gave us a descent settlement. I get lots of calls from people that can barley speak the language, so im always skeptical, this guy was professional and reasonable.

Shill much? Nice try at fiction there Mary.  First,  he discussed your daughters debt with a third party (i.e. you), that is not reasonable per the law.  Second, what is the address of this "professional and reasonable company" --- you shared everything else about your experience, so why not the address.

I'm sure consumers and regulars alike would like to conduct some "reasonable" due diligence

PS --- and what on earth does "Obamacare" have to do with FDCPA violating phone calls.  I would love to have you englihten me

    WTH IS THIS
Got a call from James White from an unknown number telling me to look out for Donald Moore that is coming to my house between the hours of 3 pm and 5 pm to serve me legal documents. Then he said if I am not home he will come to HR at my job and serve me legal papers and have them witness I was served. While I waited with the police no one appeared.

It's fraud and all of my calls are documented with the State Police and Sheriff.

    Utterly Annoyed
My son has been receiving calls from this number for a debt for someone whom we only can assume has owned his cell number before this.  They were impersonating lawyers.  We filed a police report with the local police and are filing with the FTC.

We get a Shawn Miller, Andy (completely useless), again they are a computer Microsoft company.  They call at all hours. For us to be calling them practically 3 to 5 a day is ridiculous!  Clearly they are a scam.  Has anyone ever went from a windows 7 to a 10. With that much problems?  They say my father in law's laptop, house computer,  our cell phones (2) are all protected by some anti virus program for Windows 10. Our computer is a 7. How can an android phone be upgraded?
