I got this call saying I must pay 815.00 for check fraud , for Alide check advance. Or crim7nail  charges.

So did I is this legit

This post is not helpful.  Who is the party calling regarding check fraud?  Please elaborate on why it is "legit"

keeps calling me saying they are going to serve papers for check fraud for a compnay i never heard of. Wants me to pay $1005.00 which is an odd amount. Someone else i know got the same call but for a defferent amount,

Definitely a scam. Called me today and my husband, had all of my information stated he was going to put a warrant out for my arrest. After I called my original payday advanced company they stated this man was completely false and this violates the FCRA. I'm filing a police report as of now and would advise you to do the same. No state investigator has an 844 number and when I asked his badge is number he said you'll see me in court. This man obtained all of your legal information people social bday and everything. File a report.

I recieved this same call today stating he was from the Sheriif's office and was having me arrested...I have reported this information to our local news for an investigation, this is horrible and they are rude wanting money over the phone over something I know nothing about..I also asked for badge number and he refused to give it. I called the number back and found that the man who called and gave me this number isn't at all a sheriff he is a fraud.  Everyone needs to contact their local news for scam and harrassment

Same story-going tp arrest me. Said he WAS NOT a bill collector...Said his name was Mark Morgan and he was lead fraud investigator for state of CA.  I told him i would call him back and i got a voicemail...American Portfolio Recovery...collection agency

I got a call from these same people. Saying they were from the dept of fraud in Missouri. From a guy named LEAD INVESTIGATOR MORGAN. So is this true, or a scam?? They asked me for $1,100.10, odd number right.
