    Big scam.  Chris Jacobs of "KM Litigation" at the above number with extension 65680 said I was a signer on paperwork and could accept 'official' paperwork.  It was for a relative and they were told that I was the contact for this person.  When I denied that, he proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and that I was fishing for information (even though they were the ones that originally contacted me).  Also, I'm uneducated evidently.  He was rambling on and then hung up.  I don't think anyone who is in litigation would do that, even after I offered to have him contact my lawyer (or I could have my lawyer contact them).
    To top it off, earlier I had a call from Jeff Green at LCS Processors (does not exist...I checked), who told me that I would be served papers at work.  To find out what for, I needed to call the above number.  Really?  Scare tactics and bullying.  What a way to make a living.

    They've called different family members I haven't talked to in a while looking for me about a subpoena that was going to be served soon.. She said I could settle before the papers would be delivered if I didn't want to go to court, otherwise they'd file with the court and get a judgment.  When I asked for more information about the alleged debt, she said she could only give me that information if I agreed to settle out of court, if I wanted more information I was to check my credit report and then call them back when I was ready to settle.  I called back and asked for a mailing address to send them a "cease communication" and the person who answered the phone said they were only the answering service and transferred me.  The next person also tried to pass the buck and pretended she didn't know the company name and address and I was eventually given a "corporate address" and no suite number.. They obviously don't want to receive anything in writing from us. Scare tactics and a bunch of bull I say!
    The phone number they gave as a return number was (469) 730 6402, with no caller ID when they call me.

    SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I received a call from a Ms. Cooper and she never said the company name but tried to say I had a docket number.  I returned the call and she couldn't provide much information at all.  The account they were trying to collect for, had been paid off years ago.  Come on!  Try harder than that.  Get a life.

    After some research these scam artists go by multiple names and numbers, but the same tactics.. Trying to serve papers, blah blah blah.. I've told them multiple times to bring the papers, I'll wait and... Nothing. I'm not even scared, it's a game. They've tried to put it in my credit report, but it's an easy dispute. They do get your contact info (and family friends) from amature searches online. It's seems they buy old debts from a company called "Credit Solutions". Most are past SOL and they bank on scaring you to pay.

    Get yourself a call blocker device, ignore them, and they will go away once they realize you're not going to fall for their little game.  If they had a basis for serving papers, they already would have done so and they wouldn't have given you a "warning" with these shakedown calls.  Don't sweat it, it's not legit.  I had this happen to me and after I got a call blocker I couldn't hear the phone ring but if I looked at the screen it would tell me when the calls came through.  After about 30 calls over 3 months they finally gave up trying.  That was a year ago, and those "papers" never did come....  :)

    A voice mail was left on both my husband and my cell phones.  The woman said there were going to be documents filed in the clerk's office and she referenced the property where we reside.  They left a number to call back:  469-730-6402 EXT 77324.  I called and there was a prompt to leave a message.  She never identified what office or organization she was calling from and she was not specific on the "type of documents".  Other websites reference this as a "scam" so please beware.

    We received a call similar to what you are stating from a harold @ new millennium but with a number that links up to a business called debt alleviation systems I believe (via internet research) which I'm not sure if that's a legit company or not but the phone call sounds like as you said so is it for sure a scam?

    They claim they are legit, but obviously what they are doing is far from it. I have been harassed and fooled by these guys for a while. The tactics they are using to scare you is to threaten to ruin your credit score with debt which is NEVER belonged to you with all kinds of BS reasons. Like "this used to be your roommates', but it is now yours..." But meanwhile, they will NEVER send you anything in paper since these clever a$$es know you could use them for a easy dispute or sue against them. But meanwhile, it is definitely NOT legal for them to NOT send you anything to explain their claimed debt in written form.
    If they were legit, they should have made a succesful contact with you before any further actions like sending out any validation notice or whatever. And they will stop contacting you after your denial of the debt unless they further take legal action against you (under the premise that is a legit debt).
    But now they report your case to Credit Bureau first and then they call you, pretending that they had sent you the validation notice months ago and refuse to send you anything in paper unless you fall into their trap to "settle" with them.

    Also, please spend some time to read the codes of debt collection. Don't fall in the fake law they try to fool you, read this (from FTC.gov)

    What does the debt collector have to tell me about the debt?
    Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.

    Can a debt collector keep contacting me if I don’t think I owe any money?
    If you send the debt collector a letter stating that you don’t owe any or all of the money, or asking for verification of the debt, that collector must stop contacting you. You have to send that letter within 30 days after you receive the validation notice. But a collector can begin contacting you again if it sends you written verification of the debt, like a copy of a bill for the amount you owe.

    What practices are off limits for debt collectors?
    Harassment. Debt collectors may not harass, oppress, or abuse you or any third parties they contact. For example, they may not:

    use threats of violence or harm;
    ...
    repeatedly use the phone to annoy someone.

    False statements. Debt collectors may not lie when they are trying to collect a debt. For example, they may not:
    ...
    misrepresent the amount you owe;
    ...

    Debt collectors also are prohibited from saying that:
    you will be arrested if you don’t pay your debt;
    ...
    legal action will be taken against you, if doing so would be illegal or if they don’t intend to take the action.

    Debt collectors may not:
    give false credit information about you to anyone, including a credit reporting company;
    ...

    Please also report them to these Government Organizations:

    Where do I report a debt collector for an alleged violation?
    Report any problems you have with a debt collector to your state Attorney General’s office, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Many states have their own debt collection laws that are different from the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Your Attorney General’s office can help you determine your rights under your state’s law.

    And just like me, I encourage everyone to find a consumer law attorney - YOU CAN WIN!

    Do I have any recourse if I think a debt collector has violated the law?
    You have the right to sue a collector in a state or federal court within one year from the date the law was violated. If you win, the judge can require the collector to pay you for any damages you can prove you suffered because of the illegal collection practices, like lost wages and medical bills. The judge can require the debt collector to pay you up to $1,000, even if you can’t prove that you suffered actual damages. You also can be reimbursed for your attorney’s fees and court costs. A group of people also may sue a debt collector as part of a class action lawsuit and recover money for damages up to $500,000, or one percent of the collector’s net worth, whichever amount is lower. Even if a debt collector violates the FDCPA in trying to collect a debt, the debt does not go away if you owe it.

    I was just handed a note from my director of human resource at my employment. The message was from Franklin Processing/KM Litigation, I called the number this time. I was told I owe money totaling $702.50 to a credit card company and I must pay or they (KM Litigation) were filing a complaint with my counties court system. When I asked about the filing, they tell me that they are in the process of serving me.  This company has called over and over for many years with the same statement of a filing and have not done so to date. These are collection agents using extreme scare tactics to get people to pay. They goes as far as calling your employer. Their not interested in collecting, more interested in getting you fired.

    This number called me with "case" number trying to come after my younger sister who has no debt to no one no history of crime and wouldn't give me any information about the case why they were trying to subpoena her. The next day they called me again this time claiming I was the one getting subpoena. When I asked who the compmay was they told me k&m litigation and could not give me further info. I didn't give up any info on my part or my sisters. The "switchboard" operator got mad because I kept digging for info asking for contact names, website and she hung up on me multiple times.

    They called my ex-husband, my mom and my place of employment leaving messages that I had documents coming from the clerk's office. When I called back I was transferred around & around to 4 different people. When I finally got someone called "Margaret" she hung up on me when I demanded to know information. My credit if perfect- I just bought a house in June. This is total BS.
