Received a call from this number, no idea who it is

Got a call from this number, it was an automated voice telling me the CRA was going to seize all my assets, and an agent from the CRA would be at my door within the next 24 hours.
I could press #1 to talk to an agent.
I just hung up.
I am all good with my taxes...lol

"CRA" call. Coming to get all my assets. Come on ahead! There aren't any!

I got the exact same thing and i to believe it is a scam.

This people called and said I owed the government 3000 from the years between 2008-2012.  I am on a fixed income but they insisted I pay 500 within the next hour or a warrant would be out for my arrest and a police officer would be at my door to arrest me.  Said they will freeze my bank account, seize any assets, suspend my drivers license etc. I called Revenue Canada and they confirmed it was a scam and they are aware of them.  I called the # back and they actually answer the phone revenue Canada and guy insisted they were and he was going to put me on conference call with the supervisor. I feel sorry for the elderly that get taken by these people..they need to be stopped immediately.

I called back after hours to see if they would answer the phone as we all know government agencies close at 430.  Recording comes on saying that the # has temporarily been disconnected.  Maybe Revenue Canada didn't pay the phone bill...😆

Why hasn't the brig of dumb cops gone and arrested the goofs doing this scam? Are they getting paid to not investigate?

I got a call today at 1:38 PM, from a really bad computer generated voice claiming I owe money to the CRA. It said an agent would be visiting me. I have no income as I am retired.
This was all left on my answering machine, which I can probably record to a .wma file. if anyone wants it.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

II am a business owner with 50 employees, 4 stores, and 30 years of business experience. THEY FOOLED ME EASILY. Very professional, detailed, provided Badge numbers, case numbers, docket numbers, arrest warrent numbers. Even after they conned me out of my cash, (because the RCMP were on their way to arrest me), they kept me on the phone to provide case closure numbers, No Obligation Certificate Numbers, Payment Approval numbers, all of which were very long numbers and they made me repeat them back to make sure I had them correct. in short....it was a delay tactic to make sure they had their thieved money before we disconnected. And to make sure I stayed on the phone so i couldnt call my accountant or the Police. I WAS SUCKERED, AND I AM AN IDIOT. dont be me. Hang up and call your account or the CRA directly. These guys are professional thieves.
