I got a call this morning for this number called it back person just said collections did not give a name as to who it was.  Anyone know who it is?

They said they notifying me before they go to my place of employment or to my home that I been service over the phone

I just got the same call did anything ever happen or was it a scam? I haven't called back yet

844-881-3176 called me and his name was Matt Cower, he threaten me stating he was going to serve me at work. He asked for the 1st 3 of my ss#. What type of person and company is this? I am calling to report them and have my lawyer contact them via mail.

I got the same call from "Matt" --- he said he was with Bexar County Legal Services (company doesn't even exist)-- then when I called back and gave the reference number to the call, the lady said it was a collection for a company which went out of business about 6 years ago. I asked her why I was being called, she said I was a member, which I never was, and that they were collecting past due amounts. I told her this "It sounds like you've got quite the scam going there" - she said "You've been notified" --- sorry, takes alot more to scare me than some dim-wit on the phone that tries to use big legal words. If this dude ever showed up to my business or house, I would have his [***] arrested so fast for harassment. If they call you, tell them you know its a scam and the police have been notified... I guarantee they'll hang up on you.

Just got the same call and called the number back. Lady was rude and hung up on me.. Decided to call back several times to be annoying.. After the 5th time, the line was disconnected. NICE TRY LOSERS!!!

I hope they show up to my residence. I'll have a nice surprise waiting for them.

Such a scam! What company did they say they were collecting?

I got a call today saying they were from San Bernardino Legal Services, but when I called back they said they were on the east coast. On my message the man said they were going to come to my place of business or work if I didn't respond. They said I owed money for a business that was well out of business. The lady said her name was Natasha. I looked on the internet for their company name "NCR" but found nothing.

I have voice mail then say is Miami Cleark Office with documents notarized with my name & social security number against me with case number.

Its a scam.  The scammer will give you a chance to buy your way out of trouble.  He wants you to give him your credit card number or bank account number so he can spend all of your money.  If the case was real they would not call to warn you before they served the papers.

I'm one of the Regulars on this board.  All of the regulars get kick out of helping people, but sometimes we wonder if anyone is reading our answers.  Its nice to get a little feed back from someone we helped.

I just got the same call.  His name was Matt from Dallas County Legal Services.  I got some recording when I called back.  Thanks for the info not Michael!!

They don't say what the matter is concerning. harassing me , I asked him not to call me anymore. Still calling.

I got one of these calls and when I called back I realized it was a debt collection company. It was for an old web loan I took out. I paid the amount. They waived the late fees and sent me a proof of payment.

I got a call from a blocked number saying I am getting served. They left a messaged with this 844)881-3176 and a case number. Called it they asked for my last 4 of ss#, they told me it was for bally total fitness. Wich one they don't exciset any more and two i canceled before I left to boot camp, she was so roud I was telling her no I canceled she said no I was like yea. Long story short I called her 3 times because I got hung up on then she said we will see you in court since you don't want to seatal for 1,500, hung up on me called one more time she said if I call again she will call the cops for harassment,

Did your lawyer ever contact this company? Is it a scam? I was called too and threatened to come to my home or place of business.

I got the same call and they said I owed money to Bally Total fitness. She said it was charged out in 2008. They keep calling harassing me telling me they will come to my home or place of business and serve me papers if I didn't respond or pay. We need to call the cops on them for harassment. Bally's is out of business and have been for a long time. They filed for bankruptcy.

Yes same thing they told me. We need to all get together and sue them for lieing about suing us and harasment too. My friend dad was a cop he called them and told them he was recording and they hung up on him and they don't answer his calls any more, they are not aloud to say they are during us if they are not

Too many people with the same issue with the same number. We need to do something about this. What can we do?
