I did as well. Any idea if this is a scame or not? Left a message saying something about a Civil Suit being filed against me. This isn't the first time I Have been threatened with this. Wondering if it's the same deal.

I just received the same call. They knew my name and county I live in. Don't have any legal issues, not sure what it is about. Scam is what I'm thinking.

They ID themselves as Jacobson and Wright.  Supposedly "mediators" but that's just debt collector double talk for, well--debt collector.   Long history of debt scamming on 800notes.  Threats, impersonation of public authorities, you name it.  Ignore these people and block their calls.

Their site indicates they are a corporation but I can't find anything in the records of  the Secretary of State for the State of New York on them.

They have been calling me for weeks, but don't leave a message. They finally just left me a message and  said they have a 1099 form of mine and I can call them back or my legal counsel can call me back.  It has to be a scam bc 1099's are mailed to you.

They are scam artists!!! A voicemail popped up on my phone from this number. I called back only to speak with a woman I spoke with 2 weeks ago from a different number. It was for a payday loan from 2013. Which doesn't exist. Haven't had a payday loan from anyone in years. In Michigan the SOL on debt is six years (oral/written/promissory/open-end accounts). When I spoke to the woman (Renee) a few weeks ago, I asked her to send me paperwork in the mail. She said it was time sensitive and going to litigation the next day and there wasn't any time for that, but she could send me an email!!! LOLOLOL. I refused the email and Renee said good luck and hung up. Now today, 2/11/15, I have Joseph calling me saying he has a 1099c form for bad debt from the payday that I have to file with my taxes!? HA. I told him I spoke with Renee already 2 weeks ago and that she couldn't send me any paperwork. But mysteriously Joe says there was something sent to me on Jan 27th. Funny, I never received it. So I told him go ahead and send it again, I'll have my attorney look over it. Of course he offered another email delivery, lmfao. We shall wait and see if I get anything in the mail. But I won't hold my breath. They look to scare people into settling the debt or making payment plans to settle them, assuming they are your debts. Most are not yours  or the SOL has long since expired. They buy debts and then use ridiculous tactics to like claiming to be a legit company, lawyers, etc. They are not. Please don't pay money to these creepers!!!!!

Ifirst recieved a call last week from a guy name Robert who first of all was very nasty! Then eariler today I recieved a call from somsone saying they was the supervisor,  and then a few minutes ago I got a call from some  a Renee Bennit, saying she was with Jacobson Wright and associates,  telling me she was going to procute me , and I need go call her back at this 844-990-5776 number, or consider myself warned! I smell scam

I find them to be annoying,  everytime they call, I ask the same thing, to send me paper work on the information innquestion, and its always the same reply, so I don't answer numbers I

My ex-husband called me today Feb 19, 2015...Saying that someone called them on him and his wife home phone.saying that they need to speak to me...Needless to say I have been divorced from my husband over 20 years..my question is why the heck is they harrassing him and his wife....Now I know this is a scam...because I haven't had any payday loans in years...the sad part is that they are involving people that I haven't seen in over 20 years....SMH

I just got a call from this number today. what type of outcomes have come from this, with anyone here did they actually do anything beyond phone calls?

I received a call from a recorded Mr. Carlson 925-957-3258.  Stating that his office has received my file for recording.
That I or my Attorney of Record should call them immediately..at 844-990-5776.  Sounds like a scam, I am informing my attorney and the local police department.

Today I received a call from a Renee from Jacobsen, Wright and Assoc. I asked if they were from California as the Caller ID was a northern Cali number so said no we are in New York sweetie. First off don't call me sweetie if your calling to attempt to threathen me or scam money out of me. So on she went and went I did this and that and that! How would I like to take care of it? For you damn people to get a real damn job and leave us alone! Get your facts straight before you call me!

Received the same call and they are just scammers trying  to get monies from innocent people.  I  have had many threatenjng calls through the years  and nothing has resulted in any civil law suit.

I received a call from Mr. Carlson, from 925-957-3258.  Claiming a claim has been filed in their office and either I or my attorney of legal matter needs to contact them immediately.  The contact number is 844-957-3258.  They have called before and it sounds like a scam, when you call.

I have been recieving calls for a month or more for different phone St. Louis phone numbers but all wanting me to call 844-990-5776. Today was the first time they left a detailed message and my number was connected to a Samantha McCoy. So this is kind of shady. I called told they that my number and that I was not Samantha so hopefully they won't call me anymore.

Kept receiving threatening calls from this group. Since they keep spoofing their number, no way to determine if homegrown con artists or terrorist threats. Contact your local FBI to report terrorist treats. The person who contacts me sounds Nigerian like Boko Haram.
