Perhaps all buisiness and companies , etc, doing public doings should by law have some kind
of ID of who/what they are.  There has been too much abuse with the phone system lately.
And just how do I find the owner of this number just to see if this is legitimate doings.  No
message was left even after we requested it.  Can't you even leave a few words like
"Oh were calling about pizza, we will call back".  We don't answer any calls anymore if there is
no message, being that we will consider it not important enough for them to bother and
leave a message.   Who are these phone shills?

We changed our power company and this was the old power company trying to get information about our new company and new rate.

Keeps calling everyday 3-4 hours apart and then 20 minutes apart.  No message left. Anyone know who they are?

This was a scam imho, heavy accented foreign speaking male,saying they were returning my call, allegedly from my power company. Wanted to save me money on my electric rate, did not even tell me the correct name of my supplier. I firmly told them no thanks, and not to call no more and hung up, would never initiate any type of business on someone who calls me ti initiate.

I keep getting calls from this number. I decided to call it back & the recording said it was Major Energy & Respond Power, which I found out it is located in New York. Very strange that they are calling me since I live in Western Maryland & our power company is Alleghany Power. Think I will block this caller.

Got a call from a woman with a heavy accent telling me she wanted yo save me $ bc she got notice from my electric company I was paying too much... Why would they do that? I've had friends get scammed in the area and I firmly told her I wasn't interested... She tried to tell me my call was being recorded. I said thank you but I'm not interested and hung up!

This number had been calling me for weeks. I answered it early on and spoke with a young sounding man with a heavy accent. Said he was with Major Energy and that I was paying too much for power. There were vague mentions about enrolling for something that would save me money. I said it sounded like a scam and he hung up on me. A few weeks later a young sounding woman called with the same script. I repeatedly challenged her to explain to me exactly who Major Energy was and what exactly she wanted me to enroll in. Every time I suggested sending me an email or snail mail literature - surely they have my email and home adresses - she went back to "well, if you just enroll now, you cancel later if you're unhappy". We circled around for five minutes or so and I finally said "look, you're not hearing me. We're at an empass and I'm done." She told me to visit majorenergy.com and asked if she could call back in a few days. I said no, don't call back, if I'm interested I'll enroll through the website. A week later (today), they've called back. Very persistent people. It's nice that they're so concerned about the cents per kilowatts rate that I'm paying (that's sarcasm of course). Pretty clearly a scam in my eyes.

They've been calling me a couple times per week.  When I don't pick up, they don't leave a message.  When they do pick up, the ask to speak to someone whose name I don't recognize.  I tell them that they must have a wrong number, and they hang up.  But they keep calling back.

They've never identified themselves.

I got called by this number, I didnt pick up at first since I didnt know who they were. I did call them back and it said Major Energy and Respond Power. They are my Electric supplier and were calling me about  extending my fixed rate for another year. This is something that I found to be a good thing and not a bad thing. A bunch of my friends were with the utility last winter and were not on a fixed rate and paid a crazy amount of money for their electric and gas. I just wanted to keep it real with everyone and let them know that I would not consider this a scam. I signed up with them for another year just to be safe that I dont get hit with a crazy electric bill I cant afford.

Called me and I don't even live in NY. Its a scam.

Yesterday 7/19/15 a Sunday I received 5 calls from  above number. I don't know who they are or what they want because if I don't recognize the number and no message left I don't answer. However, it can be quite an annoyance. I just want them to stop calling.

This number belongs to Major Energy which is an electricity provider. I am actually a customer of theirs. And while, yes, it seems very much like a scam, it is not. Sometimes their rates are lower than the local energy provider and sometimes they are not but you can get a deal if you look closely at all the numbers. They've been calling me to re up my contract and are just being super sketchy about it. But they are legit and do provide electricity beyond the New York area. I am in Massachusetts for example.

These scammers should get electrocuted!

Major energy is a scam...they basically piggy back onto whatever provider you have for electricity and it effectively doubles your bill...I just got a call from them after I cancelled the service last month. Beware

Getting a call from this number the day after my mother signed up for some fixed rate thing for our electric company from someone who actually came to the door, had legitimate ID and was vouched for by our electric company.

Wonder if our utility company is in on it if it turns out to be a scam... This is why I don't trust anyone or anything anymore!

Got 2 messages from this number.   One was very short, just saying hello.  The next was very long, but in a foreign language.   I have no idea what it was about.   Wish I could block numbers.
