Caller ID stated "unavailable".  No message left.  Didn't answer when I answered the call.

Caller ID came up Unknown Name, wanted me to press 1, which just sat there in silence.

It is a collection agency ICR. It deals primarily with Student Loans or Accounts

a lady by the name of Monic called & asked for the number of my daughter
to help her in credit recovery ??
The number she left is 800-964-5689 ext 350 AND the number according to my
caller ID is 845-296-1010
Very suspicious - BTW my daughter doesnt know them nor has credit problems
to be solved by these morons!

got a call from 845-296-1010.  somehow they have my personal info. for a debt to a school. the funny thing is i never attended this school and was out of state during this debt.  they also keep pushing me for personal information.  what should i do? do i need to get a lawyer?

just got a call from the same number (845 296 1010). I did not answer it because it is too early in the morning to deal with someone I don't know. I have zero debt, but I must admit, after reading this forum I am a bit worried about what information they may have.

I got a call from this number and they tell me to call 1-800-964-9689 ext 381. I did dial the 800 number but then a recording answered saying the number code has changed and I should dial a new set of numbers for international calls... That's when i said, no way!! and hung up. They asked for some girl we don't know and never heard of and say it's about a debt and that's about al I can make out because the message is so broke up and staticy you can't understand...

I am receiving calls from this number almost once a week. The message is for someone whom I don't know and they want me to press 1 which I never did.

They are wasting my precious phone minutes (along with presidential candidates sending voice messages on my cost). Such people should be punished.

I recieved a call from ICR number 845-298-7575 asking for someone not living at my house about a debt..
Why would they have my number?

I got a call from this number, let it go to voicemail.  the automated voice had my name.  Should i be worried?  I don't think I have any debt, but I did have a misunderstanding over my rent when I lived in NYC.  Do you think that is why they're calling? (It was about a year ago and they're just calling now -- would they wait that long?)   Is this just a scam?

They have called but the phone was just silence when I answered. It is probably a debt collector. The person who had my phone number before I did apparently has not been paying their bills. I get calls about her debt all the time. I tell them that she had the number previously and that I do not know her. But they still call anyway. Very annoying.

We just got a new phone number and from day one these people call us looking for someone who does not live here.  I used our phone number at Walgreens photo center and the same name they were looking for came up.  Coincedentally enough, we also get some mail sometimes for this person "or current resident".  It is very annoying and we keep telling them that this person does not live here, and they say they take us off the list, but they keep calling!

On 07/27/09 at 8:35am I got a call from this number. It went to my answering machine. The message said it was an ICR debt collector. They told me to call 800 964 5689.

We keep getting calls from them as well. The woman says she's MONIQUE BROWN and needs a call back right away. Well, they ask for my son who is in college and has never taken a loan out in his life. He's now 21. When he was 14 the University of California Ambulance Service took him to the hospital. I filled out forms so that everything would be covered. Now out of the blue we are getting these calls constantly. I had no idea there was a University Ambulance. I don't see how they can come after him. 1st, it was all covered, 2nd, my son was 14. We started getting bills all of a sudden from this agency and I can't figure out why they want so much money for a 5 mile ambulance ride. I can't think of anything else it could be since everyone on this board is saying College loans.... It may be a stretch but my son is in community college and has never taken a loan out.

Harassing! Called for MONTHS asking for someone who used to have this number (at least three years ago, because that is how long I have had the number). A person never answered, it was always a recorded message. This is their physical address:

I wonder how they would like it if I called them repeatedly with a recorded message. Would not give me their address when I called.

Every day. 2 - 3 times a day. For the past year and a half.  Do these people have any respect for an individual's privacy.  I mean come on they call my cell phone! Wasting not only my time but my money too.  Someone has got to make them stop. It's way past harassment.

I just missed the call from them and when I returned the call, the most obnoxious SOB started right in that I owed $80 to an MRI outfit in NYC called East River Imaging.
I did use that place and when billed for my two $40 co-pays, paid by credit card and the matter should have been closed.
I conveyed that to the jerk on the phone very politely, and asked that he check with East River and confirm that payment was made.
Her proceeded to yell at me that "he's not doing nothing".  He said that I better get my credit card statements in to him to prove that I paid the money, or he will report it to the ...
I told him I was out of town and had no access to...
The [***] hung up on me.
Yesterday (two weeks after that conversation) I received a collection notice from these same people.
This phone # is on the letterhead and they are called ICR (Immediate Credit Recovery).
How can I make them go away?  There should be legislation passed towards this end.
