Unsolicited call on my cell

No messages....Hang ups...annoying.

Called my cell twice so far. didnt leave a msg either time. Pretty annoying

3rd time this # called my house phone without leaving a message - I have no idea who this outfit is but they have a Kingston, NY # - I reversed called and left a message to please not call me anymore - their answer machine states: "You've reached the enrollment center.  Please leave your name and number for a call back."  I hope they honor my request.

They just called.  I never answer these, just look up here and block.  These nuisance and scam calls are all I get anymore.

Man purported to seal in current rate on my Central Hudson bill.  As this is a weekend, I will be contacting Central Hudson with this information on Monday, citing the phone number from which I was called.

845-375-1048 has called twice in the past week.  No message left.

This board is simply a sounding board for people to vent and inform others of scam telemarketing calls they receive.  There is no authority associated with the 800notes site to stop these callers.  In order for people to collectively stop these type calls they must act together - and TAKE ACTION!  It doesn’t do any good to complain about a caller on this board unless you then take the next step and do something about it!  The caller ID number is usually a ‘Spoof Number” – A Fake!  Never, never, ever engage the caller or call back the number.  The false robocallers will then capture your number as a ‘live one’ and use it over and over and sell it to other scammers.  The same goes if it prompts you to ‘press a key’ to ‘opt out’  of their calling lists, or be transferred to someone, as this will only ‘log’ your number as a working one and make it ripe for future calls and to be sold to other scam companies as well.
The best option is simply to hang up, keep your own list of calling numbers with dates and times and report them to the FCC below.  There is space on their complaint form to list several calling dates and times of a repeat caller.
The DO NOT CALL list is worthless, they do not act on anything, just build a database of numbers.
In order to do something to help stop these type calls, everyone - EVERYONE needs to file an online complaint directly with the FCC.  If they receive enough complaints about a particular number - they will act on it.  Do it today and pass along the info:

The govt's DNC list does nothing. Even if you submit a properly supported complaint. I simply stopped answering my phone.

Family Energy trying to get me to reduce my energy bill with nyseg. I don't use NYSEG for my energy in the first place. Scumbags.

Call came up as Amenia NY, as above.  Didn't pick up, didn't call back the number.  Planning on filing complaints with FCC if it would help (?), being spammed every day by numbers like this, I'm sure some legit company out there has an employee selling information to these scam callers.  Frustrating.

I got a call from this number today. He asked to speak to the person in charge of the National Grid bill. I told him he has the wrong number. He said he apologizes for the inconvenience of the call. It came up as Anemia, NY on my landline phone caller I.D.

Seems to be an energy marketer. This week I have received a call the past four days from the general upstate NY region (Albany/Syracuse area). This number, 845-373-1048; and 518-620-2445; 845-610-6525; 917-398-9365.

I received a call from 845-373-1048,Family Energy, who lied and misrepresented themselves as my current local energy service provider.  

Did not leave a message. Has called before not leaving a message.
