Call from this # person said my computer has been hacked

Me too Doug,  even knew my name and what kind of computer I have, but I had already read about the scam, and I gave them "what for"

Caller ID showed Ney York.  Very pushy, rude and hard to understand man telling me we had computer issues.  Told him I could not understand him and that we were not having computer isses - could not make out the name of his company and I think he said his name was Edwardo.  Anyway he trasferred me to a man by the name of Alex.  Both wanted me to go the the "problem" computer.  I asked which computer that would be.  Gave me an email address that has been disabled for over a year!

i didn't answer because i didn't recognize number.  ID states New York caller.  no voice mail left.  I added to my spam / did not answer list.

Didn't answer this strange number, but judging from previous comments I'm really glad I didn't!

Just got a call from this number, did not answer.  After reading the comments glad I ignored the call.  They are now on the block list.

received a call which caller ID said was from New York. They didn't leave a message. Appreciate the above posts.

I received a call from 845.415.4252, as well.  It was a female and she was polite but also hard to understand.  She told me she liked my name then stated I was showing as having numerous computer problems.  At that point, I hung up.  I had initially ask her what company she was from but could not understand her.

Said he wanted to to go to my computer and press some keys for him to show me I was hacked. I told him NO and got rid of him. It is a scam or hacker. I had trouble understanding him. Said this was only for Windows users.

Keep calling & hanging up so I answered To get them to stop. Knew it was scam b4 answered cuz had to wait for rotodial to transfer to me. Heavy accent from made up company wanting to show me I have malicious threats in my son's PC but recited my email. (This is on YouTube as scam call) I said don't call me & hung up. (They actually show u runtime errors & try to convince u they are viruses) SCAMMER!!

Second time this number called, told them not to call again as they were scammers.   This time my "blocked caller" allowed one ring and then disconnected them.

I got the call and the person was hard to understand and the person was very vague when I asked who she worked for and how they got my name and email address.

Called 7/28/15 @ 4:14PM. I did not answer and no message was left. I called back from another phone and received a fast busy signal.  Internet search identified the calling area as Spring Valley, New York.

Just received a call same as all the above it was a man heavy accent said he was from Advance Computer and they were notified by Microsoft that I had malicious system errors on my computer. He stated they are Microsoft certified and can remove the errors for me. I told him if I had errors I was capable of removing them myself which he started to argue the point. I knew he was full of BS cause I've been using an Android tablet not a Microsoft system.

(845) 415-4252 NY, USA. Foolishly answered this call. He,in broken English, Said he was calling about my window 8 computer. I asked how he got my number (cell). He said again he was calling about my computer. I told him to remove my number from his callist and hung up.

Just received a call from this number. When I asked what company he was with all he told me was that he was from "support". How he got my number is unknown.......I told him never to call me again. Hung up the phone and tried to redial the number that was listed as a NY number. Unable to contact.......Just another scam!

I just received a call from 845-415-4252 under "Name Not Found" and answered the phone and immediately hung up. If I get a call back it will go on my blocked list. Scam artists!

Caller had a thick Indian accent and had a lot of call center noise in the background.Said I had a lot of malicious files on my computer and wanted me to log on to the infected computer. I thought it was a scam and I am luckily at work. They have called several times on my cellphone before but I never answered. The one time I tried to call back, it wouldn't go through. Whitepages.com says that this is not a valid number.

Called said I had malicious problems with my email (which he read to me and he was correct) and my phone number.

Told him some very unpleasant things concerning his ancestors and himself.

Received a call from this number earlier in the week.  Recognized it was a scam. Immediately added my number  to the do  not call list.  Today, received a call from same number.  I told them I was on the do not call list and not to call me again.  Rip offs!!
