- JeanReceived a call saying he was from Advanced Online Support and had just received a message that I had downloaded critical information and errors from the web. He needed for me to go to my computer and he would tell me how to fix it. Number was blocked but he did give me 1-845-459-2751 and a name to call him back at within 15 minutes. I checked out the number and found that it had been reported as a scam. I did not call back.

- Nici53| 2 repliesJust got a call from a man with an Indian accent said he was "John Miller" badge # 509 with Windows & they received a report that my PC downloaded a few viruses & he is able to fix it right now. Since I already know my phone number is on the scam list I also saw the phone number was blocked as private so as he said it I took his info down & said if I call this number back I will get his extension he said yes & I immediately hung up & tried to call 1-845-459-2751 but all it did was ring & ring. I may have blonde hair but I'm not stupid!

- Bob replies to Nici53| 1 replyI got the same call and did not do what her asked I did call Microsoft and they said they were aware of it and to not give access to them. They are dealing with it.
- Esteban3304I received a call from a company called "Advanced PC Protect" and the caller had an Indian accent. He said his organization was Microsoft certified. He said that my windows pc had been infected with an "errors and warnings" virus, and that he would fix it for free. Then later in the conversation, he said there would be a nominal charge. I lied, telling him I was not at home. He wanted a convenient time to call me back when I was at home. I refused and asked for a number to call his company when I got home. I called them back and was connected with their voice mail. I left no message. Immediately afterwards this "company" called me back. Again, they told me my pc was on their database of infected pc's. I asked him who had supplied them with this information. He hung up on me.

- FRANKLINThe "off shore" voice told me my motherboard was infected from GMAIL virus, but he could fix it. I asked "which gmail" and he gave my my most commonly used gmail address that I use with my land line phone. I asked which computer, and he rattled off a MAC address which is not one of mine. I asked "which hard drive?" more gibberish. Which version of Windows? He got that one totally wrong.... Windows 8.1 will not touch my computers. I worked as a file server and operating systems engineer for 20 years, , and I wanted to hear the extent of his gibberish and how long he would "play me." I said you work for Microsoft? He said "YES."
Microsoft in Redmond, Washington? I asked. He said he "works for Windows Technical Department, a Microsoft Partner."
I asked for phone numbers, and he gave me 845-459-2751 and 480-305-0698, I told him I'd call him back.
I expect to hear from him or his Microsoft Partners again, It angers me that their scams work on unsuspecting computer users who are manipulated into believing they have a problem.- Caller: Windows Technical Department

- Granny 2-Names Good WitchThe idiot creature who called me gave me the ling of nonsense that there is a problem with my computer. After I told him he was full of crap, that there is nothing wrong with my computer and not to ever call me again he hung up on me. Hmm? Well, I decided to call the creature back. I pulled the number 'it' called from up on my cell phone....845-459-2751 and got a recording for DCH Honda. I proceeded to chew a young lady out, told her I have not owned a vehicle since 1998, and have not had a driver's license since 1999. I told her remove my cell number from their list and not to ever call me again. After I hung up I got to thinking about the original call that the idiot talked about my computer. What? Wait a minute? What do Honda's have to do with computers? So, I called the number a second time. Sure enough I got DCH Honda of Nanuet, in Nanuet, New York....again. I spoke to another young lady, explained why I was calling and asked her if their company is aware that some low-life scum scammer has somehow figured out a way to route return calls to 845-459-2751 to their company. She said they became aware of this issue this morning and are working on getting the problem solved. So, if anyone calls the scammers from 845-459-2751 back, PLEASE listen to what the recording says. If you get a recording saying it is DCH Honda of Nanuet, PLEASE do not chew those innocent people out. I do not know how this scum is doing it, but they are connecting their number to a reputable company. This sort of foolishness does not set well with me.

- MikeBefore getting a phone call from this number, I received an Email on my Hotmail with a warning that I needed to fix a problem by clicking a link. The link was a non-Microsoft site, so I reported that message as a phishing scam. Two days later, there was a followup call. The voice said that he was he was from Microsoft and that I should have responded to his Email. I asked, are you calling from Rockland County, New York State? He said yes. Then I told him that I was Googling this number while talking to him, got to this site, and began reading reports. No wonder, every report contained unfavorable words such as scam. After reading the third report out loud to him, he hung up.
