why would sumone from middletown call upstate n.y. just to hang up?...phone company should cut his phone service off.

Worst bill collector ever if its a bill collector. It usually helps to communicate with the people you are collecting from. This feels more like a psychotic modem gone haywire, just randomly calling phones.

Sorry. Nothing of real value to offer here, other than the fact that its happening to me once or twice per day.

Did not answer this call as I was on the other line. I called it back and it says the company is IDT energy. When I called...some man was talking, then it switched to a recording.  I waited til someone picked up, they did but did not say anything. So irritating that there are companies out there that waste your day with these calls. Guess being on the Do Not Call list does nothing for you.

They keep calling two or three times a day and hang up.

They called yesterday so I answered it today, a girl just giggled & then hung up

I called back, it's IDT energy, they want you to switch over (after sharing information from your current bill), or so the recording says.  I then got a real person who said "hello" and I was disconnected!  Hmmm....sounds like a great company!

IDT Energy,520 Broad Street,Newark New Jersy, 07102..... im sending a cease and assist letter and im calling AG to Try and stop this harrasing company. maybe more should do the same, it can only help.

Yep they called me tonight 12/02/2011, they didn't leave a message. I called them back and got a recording. Going to report this number.

Called me and they did not say anything, but I can hear voices in the background. I just hung up on it. First time getting a call from this number.

This is a IDT energy company. They call and hang up because they can not call direct so they are hoping you will call back to try to sell you a cheaper energy. The guy was polite when I called back the number and when I told him I was not interested, he just said ok and thanked me for my time. He never called back again after.

same old scam, different day and different number. They call and hang up on machine. All those energy companies that are suppossed to be cheaper aren't and are just scams. I called my electric and gas companies and made it so noone could change my service, except me. I already had one scam company fraudulenntly change my service and even had a fake recording of a someone impersonating me. I turned them in to NYS fraud, but who knows if they even did anything. My id said "wireless caller", so I know it's a scam.
