these guys phone here almost every day with a bit different storey about my computer having error reports and they want to help me, blah blah blah.   They are just scammers.

OMG this number called me and the guy was just so vague and you could totally tell he was getting agitated and he started talking bout the law and getting fined and i was just humoring him for a while but he was so persistent. i was annoyed and i hung up.

don't listen to him and his talk about you getting $1000 bills for going on secure sites like fb, etc.

someone with a very foreign accent called me from this number. TY - Caller ID. said he was in Winnipeg, MB and belonged to Windows and was going to 'help' me. Handed phone to my system admin (my hubby) and that got his attention so we hung up. Definitely is not a Canadian phone number but somewhere in New York state. Just hang up quickly!

A man called saying he was from the Treasury Department in Washington.  My daughter handed me the phone and when I said, "Hello" the man said, "I want to talk to TIM."  He had an unidentifiable accent.  When I said I was Tim's wife, he hung up.

Foreign sounding man called claiming to be Windows Technical Department, he said I had problems with my computer and he was going to help! He tried to get me to run command prompt... I then hung up and he  tried to call me again on 01202501 which is similar to phone number in the area I live in the UK although it is missing 3 numbers at the end. I have notified the police so that others can be made aware.

Blatantly this is a SCAM!!

i never bother with numbers that are not in my address book..i just deleat them ...not worth the aggrevation

My house got a call from some guy saying he's with Windows.  He tried to get me punch in all these keys.  Supposedly we had a problem with our computer.  It was interesting because the computer had absolutely no problem.  I also asked him what city he's calling from.  He said United States.  I asked again and his response was California.  Asked a third time and he said Los Angeles.  This guy had some kind of accent.  He also called from another number, 607-734-9187.

Just got a call from this number (845-469-9827), i'm in Montreal. Same thing for the accent, more or less the same for the story (how he intruduces himself) From what i picked up (english is not my native language) he seemed to say that i had problem with my PC. I thought of awnsering yes and let him talk and shoot out his gibrish bull, then i said to him there is no one with a PC using windows here in the house, but OS. He then said " i just want you to be aware someone is using your name (identity?) with a windows platform". I gave him sh...and he hung up after saying, "beware of what i just told you".

This guy sounds like a douche, Said they were receiving error messages from my computer and such I was just like "oh yeah... go f**k yourself" *click*. Said he was from Windows but I have heard of these scams before so It pissed me off they tried it with me.

Got a call from this number today. A guy with a foreign accent said we have seen you have error messages on your computer and I  am here to help you. Scam

got a call at 11/10 at night sounded like oriental something wron with my pc I told him its after 11pm and I am sleeping hung up

I got a call from this number today and it said it was mcdonalds on my caller ID.  I thought it was strange, but I answered it, said "hello" & the person hung up. I just tried calling the number back tonight, and it rang & rang & rang.  No one ever picked up & it didn't go to voice mail.  Thank you all who posted their comments, as I will be aware of it now.

this number called me a little after midnight while i was sleeping. it woke me up and i decided to let it go to voicemail because i didn't know the number. i checked my voicemail and there was no message cus that person hung up. who the hell calls at midnight?

This number called my cell and informed me that due to fraudulent activity, my debit card from 1st American Bank was being cancelled. I have nothing to do with that bank, and I'm pretty sure neither does the caller.

Someone keep calling me and they just stay quiet, is annoying.

This caller identified himself as "Matthew", and the tel no listed on my phone screen said McDonald's..this is the same scanning group that have been bugging me for over one year with a multitude of jnumbers, most of which I have saved.  All has to do with a computer error and $250.00 I sent them for service and security at least 18 months ago.  That payment did not go through as I stopped it realizing I had been scammed.  They always want you to turn on your computer in order to receive my reimbursement.  Next time they call will tell them I have broken both hands in an automobile accident that as also left e blind.

I got a caller with an Indian type accent with a caller ID that said McDonalds 845 469 9827 telling me I had some sort of CDL problem? And that someone is downloading malware onto my computer...I asked him where he got my number and he said white pages .com but he said he works at the Windows Security department. I told him the caller ID said McDonalds and he offered to put me on the phone with the supervisor and asked me if I was looking to get a burger. Anyway I told him I will take my computer to a shop but then he started insulting me and became agitated so I hung up on him.

Caller ID says McDonalds and a young man told me micro soft was showing several errors over the last few days.  I asked him if he thought I fell off the spud truck yesterday and also that I did not believe him and  he should call someone who does believe him.  I tried calling the number back and no one answers.  There is no doubt this is a scam of some sort but I wouldn't let him talk long enough to find out what it was.

this bloke called me up today on my mobile phone and I am living in Australia, he was pretending to be an authorized person of Telstra, trying to organise a meeting with me at my convenience, too see if someone could sell me a Telstra Plan.. This bloke knew too much info about me.. for example he knew that my current plan with my current provider had expired, he knew my home address without any clue or anything... I immediately asked him to have a chat with his manager and he made an excuse "Oh my manager is busy at the moment, and he will call you up later this afternoon"... Occassionally I recieve the odd text message directed at anybody from freelotto.com for competitions I have apparently won without even entering, I am hoping this is harmless crap.. However in this day and age, their is no protection.. I think it is a scam..
