Apparently a spoofed number by a call center in India trying to convince me they were Microsoft and were going to "fix" my computer.

Received a call from this number, a lady told me she was from microsoft and were going to fix my computer that they were receiving an abundant amount of error messages from my computer.  They showed me were I could see these messages.  My daughter said all computers show this list.  I hung up and didn't give them any information.  They continued to call me for the next half hour, about six times.  

Man with foreign accent said he was from Microsoft and their servers had identified fatal errors and corruption on my computer, and he was going to help fix it. I thanked him and said I would take it to my local computer guy, he replied that local IT cannot fix it. I hung up at that point.

I started getting this call number yesterday.  It reads Dir [***]  NY on my caller ID.  I do not answer it.

Sorry it reads:  Dir Assist.  NY

This is 3rd call from different area codes but number is 555-0119, 555-0163, 555-0167.  Why can't they be stopped?  Call blocking is worthless, so is all the legislation that is supposed to protect us from this nonsense.

they also call me in quebec for the same reason.. they were Lucky i spoke English.

Said they were from Microsoft
And that someone is trying to hack my information. I told them we had a bad connection . he was foreign ,
"Told me to turn off my TV"
Hung up on me

She said she was cierrah from child services I asked what the call was pertaining to then she hung up

Was told that it was "Jason" from National Grid and that due to deregulation and that I had been an excellent customer for years I could receive a stipend on my bill. I told them that they called a school, and they abruptly hung up!
