It's an automated voice that says it's the law office of Hall and Assoc. (or something like that) and they are looking for some dude name steven michaels (which is not my name) and to call the number.  i called the number and the lady started asking me really personal questions, i think it's something fishy.

same here! they call 4 times a day every day!

Cabrera and Associates - -some attrny- collecting on bad checks that have already been paid -- owner is Matthew Caberea- they also have an AKA because of all the legal action towards them-- Hall and associates.

a call everyday now for three weeks.  they won't stop calling even though they have been told.

This number has called me so many times in the past.  My phone number has somehow been in and out of their computers about 4 times.  Over the past year, I've received about 100 calls from these people.  The process usually goes as follows:  I call them, they tell me that my number is not in the computer and that there is no reason that they should be calling me, they treat me like I'm the jerk because they're calling me, then they tell me that they can't do anything about it.  Then they'll stop call for a month or two, and then it will start back up again.

A woman named "Sabrina Thomas" with Hall & Assoc. keeps calling and harassing me saying that I owe for a bounced check from 2005, that I paid off in 2005.  She told me to go to Walmart and get a moneygram and send it to her.  I asked for her to send me more info or a statement on what I owed and she refused.  These people are fakes.  There is no website for Hall & Assoc. and the number they are calling from is a residential number.  I have contacted the authorities to prevent further harassment and put a stop to these people.

I've had 2 calls from them asking for a william. there is no one in my home with that name. I called the man calling and left him a message we will see if he returns my calls or if they just keep calling me.

Received 2 calls from Cabrera & Associates.  First time they called, they left a message stating that they were looking for Steven Michaels, they also left a case number.  The 2nd time they called, I answered the phone and told them they had the wrong number.  They asked me the to tell them the number they called, and i told them that they just dialed it so they needed to tell me the number they dialed.  They could not tell me the number they just dialed, so i assumed they were full of crap and hung up on them.  I have not had a call since.

I just received another call from Cabrera & Associates.  This time they were looking for a Michael Thompson.  I told them there was no Michael Thompson at this residence, and they asked me to give Michael (who doesnt live here) a message the next time I see him.  I told the guy that I did not know a Michael Thompson, and the guy got snotty with me saying "Well that is different than saying that there is no Michael here."  I finally told them not to call anymore and hung up on them.  I don't know who these people are, but I am going to get my local authorities involved. I will keep everyone informed.

A recording which I can not understand that sounds like it is coming from a collection agency in NY.  Never been in the state of NY or any state even close to NY.  The message keeps saying press one for legal advise or stay on the line.  This went on for 20 mintues and no one picked up so I could advise them to quit calling me.

They are calling saying they are from a law firm of Bill Brick and call several times a day. It is always automated. If it was that important wouldnt they have an actual person call? It seems fishy.

This place has been calling me over and over claiming that I owe for a $15.00 bad check from one of my former employers from five years ago, which was paid five years ago. They have never sent me any legal documents in the mail. They just somehow got my NEW phone number, and they have been blowing it up. I have contacted the JVP at the home office of my former employer and they haven't filed any such claim. They also have their own legal team and wouldn't hire them. This place is crap! They are scamming innocent people. After doing much research, I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commisions for crossing state lines, with the NY State Attorney General's Office, and with the NC State Attorney General's office. I also contacted the hotline for call nuisances'. These people should be closed down and lose their state bar licenses! I have forewarned them to stop this harrassment or they will be hearing from my attorney!

they are blowing up my phone.  Something about a ck that was written in the state of KY that has already been taken care.  They want triple the amount of the org ck but can not produce any evidence that they even had the collection.  i just dont answer any more

Calls come from a company called Hall & Associates on checks already paid all checks have copies of but, still harrass me but I need this to stop I have cancer am hospitalized so how can I write anything on the dates they stated when I'm in the hospital this has to be a scam.

They call, don't leave a message. I call them back, got bounced around several times after I told them the person they were looking for ("Brian Nolan") is unknown to me and has not had my phone number, and finally leave a message on someone's machine. I told them to never call me back, but I get the feeling they're going to. I have no business with any law firms, so there is no reason for one to be calling me. They didn't ask me any questions, just bounced me between phones about six times before transferring me to voicemail.
